Grand Hotel Faros

We ended up at the Grand Faros after our original hotel was dreadful. From our arrival we have been made to feel welcome, like we are part of their family. The staff are always going above and beyond, the food is excellent, I'm a very fussy eater and they are always accommodating my likes and dislikes, the chef is lovely and always checks if we are happy with our meals. Room is amazing, plenty of space, cleaned every day with beds made and clean towels. Air con in every room, bathroom amazing, excellent facilities. The hotel is spotless, towels provided daily when we are around the pool, always checking if we need anything. The hotel is very close to amenities, 5 min to anything you need and there is a bus service outside the hotel doors. The manager and her team are some of the nicest people I've met whilst on holiday. I would definitely recommend to anyone, I will also be coming back again with my family

Was looking for a cheap hotel for a short stay and as such I didn’t expect much. However I was pleasantly suprised, pool area was the stand out for me, the room although basic was clean and the cleaners were attentive (although there was a high rate woman kicking off about towels also from UK -Bournemouth/Brighton ) The reason this place has a higher rating than I would normally give is the staff. Although they were all great have to thank Serkan who seemed to run the bar (and everything else) made everyone feel like this was a five star! A little tip for all of you are just popping somewhere and have the ability and are just popping out on your own, download the app ‘BEAM’, as there are loads of E-scooters which cost next to nothing and are fun … tip for this is use something like PayPal instead of you card as I paid just as much in transaction fees as I did in fares which could have been avoided. That being said, don’t quote me on this but it was around 8 pence per minute. Not a place I’m taking the kids for a family holiday but a great base for exploring with knowledgable staff to point you in the right direction👍 Hope this helps as a true reflection

Where do I start, hotel had no wifi and when it did work it worked for about 4 minutes. When asked if they could fix it they said “we tired to help and can’t” but others in the hotel had wifi. Breakfast was like they had just taken a crash course. My aircon was working when it felt like it. The pool on the other hand was good as was the location. There was a free pool table also. We were handed a drinks menu that said 17 Turkish lira and then got charged 170 per drink and more. “Oh sorry the menu is from four years ago” but by far my worst think about this hotel is the manager. Rude, unkind and not fit to run a hotel.

Grand Faros Hotel was far from grand. They failed to cater to basic needs. I asked night staff for a bottle of water as I can't drink trap water and he said no. He just seemed like he didn't want to be there. Bare in mind its supposed to be a all inclusive hotel and you can't even get water. I arrived on Monday and asked for a new towel on Thursday the housekeeper told me no tomorrow. I explained to her I have been here 4days now she still said no I literally had to beg her for a fresh towel. I have been doing alot of activities, showers ect my one towel was dirty. It felt ridiculous having to beg for a towel after 4days in a hotel. It was very easy to find housekeepers sitting in there staff room having a chat. There was not many people in the hotel it was really quite people came and left quickly. I stayed for 5days and my room didnt get cleaned the sheets was not changed. The Food wasn't great same leftovers everyday. however the chef was happy to make fresh eggs for you. Most of the staff was friendlyish especially the women receptionist but none speak good English it was hard to communicate. The room was small not great but not the worst. The TV didn't work nor the AC and the furniture is out dated. Beds was low but firm. The pool and bar is cute. Pretty to take pictures but there nothing really at the bar so you might aswell buy your own alcohol. Pool closed at 6pm bar a little later. WiFi didn't work only in the lobby sometimes. It was frustrating. The room had nice big mirrors But it had water's marks because I accidentally splashed it with my wet long hair and of course it didn't get cleaned. Lobby/ dining area floor is dirty so alway wear footwear. The beach is about a 25min walk from the hotel to the beach abit far in 32 degrees but a taxi is only 60lira. The holiday rep cuma seemef nice and bubblely. However we went on excursions and got speaking to other tourists we paid more for activities. We paid £25 for a shopping trip definitely a waste of money. We expected to get taken around abit or atleast to a market or somthing instead we was taken to one clothes shop and a jewelry shop. Instead we could of just got a taxi for 60lira (£3) We paid about £30 for a turkish bath package, others only paid £7 we then paid extra for rubbish to be honest. Will I come back to grand faros hotel? No. Did i hate it? No. Will I recommend it? No.
