This hotel is updated and clean! Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Food is great in the restaurant and great service. Beds & bedding - clean and comfortable! Elevators were oddly small, so you may have to squeeze in or take a few minutes to use them. Great experience- would stay here again and recommend to others.

We reserved a room for a local event that was subsequently cancelled. We cancelled our reservation 3 weeks prior to the scheduled event. We were told that they could not refund our reservation and would charge us the entire amount. We requested a partial refund or even a credit to be used at a later time and were denied. We contacted IHG and were told that we should reinstate our cancelled rooms so that the hotel manager could make the necessary credit adjustments to our credit card. When speaking with Amber Giddings front desk manager (who was extremely unprofessional) we were told that was not possible. We again called IHG and requested a conference call between the hotel manager and IHG, to which we were told that would not be possible. Amber told us to research the cancellation policy, which we did…the policy stated that a cancelled reservation would result in a one day room fee. When we sent Amber the cancellation policy, she responded by telling us that we had an incorrect policy. (how convenient). We then asked to speak to Amber’s superior to which we were told that SHE had the final say in the matter and she would not be supplying us with the requested contact information. As an operator of a family owned service industry business, the unprofessionalism displayed by this particular Holiday Inn is appalling. IHG should be embarrassed. We have used IHG/Holiday Inn and its other properties for over 35 years. We will go out of our way to NEVER again use another one of its properties.

Nice place, very clean. Staff very helpful & friendly. Attached restaurant not the greatest, but good options sold in lobby and vending machine. Get a room not facing the highway if you are a light sleeper. Conviently located for us, will stay again!

This was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our week long trek through the UP Nice clean spacious room that included a nice walk in shower, microwave, Keurig coffee pot, mini fridge and big screen Samsung tv. Check in was a breeze, we enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant called My Place Restaurant and Bar (dinner served until 9pm) Would definitely come stay here again, great location and easy to get in/out of

It is an older hotel somewhat recently updated. So not bad. We just stayed for one night. A bit of an inconvenience to get to as you have to double back if coming from the east. Breakfast was not included and we didn't eat here. So a short review...

Our franchise model is a full service hotel in which we have a restaurant and bar. Express hotels are mandated to provide complimentary breakfast as they do not have a food and beverage outlet. Completely blacked out room which is immaculate and well appointed. Everything about this place was a good experience. Good in all ways. Security and lighting outside was good. Location is terrific. You are on the edge of downtown Marquette and on the highway heading west. There are nearby restaurants of which the area has many good choices. Very little fancy dining but delicious food in many. We did not try the Holiday Inn Restaurant or bar while staying. Overall, extremely clean and quiet.

Our room was comfortable and clean. The Staff was helpful, friendly, and offered very good suggestions for local restaurants. The pool was surprisingly quite large. The on site "My Place Restaurant" served delicious food at reasonable prices. Also, upgrading for the daily breakfast was quite a bargain. The servers were excellent. We will stay here on our next visit to the U.P.

Stayed a few nights in Marquette. Overall good place. Pool area was busy but nice. Room was clean and well kept up. Check in went smoothly. We didn’t try out the bar or restaurant during our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time I’m town.

Great Holiday Inn. Just the way you want a Holiday Inn to be - no surprises. Excellent room, pleasant staff. It's located on a very busy stretch of road and it's easy to miss the turn off. Wonderful jumping off location in the Keweenaw.

quite average time in my hometown to be honest. stayed here a few times and this one is a little better than the others too. This is pretty nice so i would consider it a cool addition to visiting every country in the world! thanks for viewing my review, and have a good day!

First, this place only has those tiny triangular luggage carts that can't take more than a suitcase and a carry on bag. The staff says it's because the elevators are small. After 6 trips with the cart and a trip to the grocery store (no complementary breakfast here), I asked at the desk how turn the frig on. The first staff member asked “Why?” and I said because it's warm and it's supposed to be cold. A second staff said warm is all you get, and a third staff member at the desk blamed IHG for buying poor refrigerators. Fortunately, I brought along an adapter so I could use my 12 volt cooler to preserve all the items meant for the room refrigerator. As for “newly remodeled”, if you are a craftsman or have any experience in even amateur or DIY remodeling, either keep the lights low or keep your eyes shut.

Stayed here for a night in July - we travelled as a family of four, with two young children. We attempted to book this hotel two days prior using our points (we have diamond status) and were told that it was not possible, as there were no more rooms available to be booked on points - even though there were plenty of rooms on the website available at a cash rate. Tried again the next day, and was given the same speech. Finally on the third day we were able to book a room at the last minute (we were about to power through the drive and carry on to Sault ste Marie). I don’t recall who I spoke with through this process but the fact it took so many calls started our stay off on the wrong foot. The front desk staff also seemed impatient and frankly, curt, with us as we checked in. We got a king room with pullout - room was clean and comfy, no issues there. We did use the pool - large pool and hot tub and the seating area was very large and nice. The pool itself is showing significant wear - significant cracked tile and missing grout along the inside edges. Otherwise fine - it allowed our kids to burn off some energy. Did not use the on-site restaurant so cannot comment. Hotel is located right off the main highway - next door to a Wendy’s and plenty of other options for dining in the area. Unfortunately the customer service killed the experience for me and I will likely not return here in the future. This seems to have been the experience for some recent guests as well based on reviews. Shame as it’s a nice property.

This Holiday Inn was very clean and in order. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience and safety of the walk-in shower. Love it that Holiday Inns have replaced their old coffee makers with the single-serve Keurig. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
