My Place Hotel-Marquette, MI

At this price point, there can be a range of quality of the accomodations and service, and usually I leave quite unimpressed, except in a few instances. We were in town from way down south in Dayton Ohio visiting my mother for a few days. She was working at the camp at Bay Cliff in Big Bay with children who have special needs. It was truly a tremendous endeavor to drive up here and we had no place to stay as my mother does not live up here. So we looked through all the options about a month or two ago and booked this place sight unseen! I read through the reviews and there were enough recent ones that seemed positive that I decided this would be a good choice and we booked. From the moment we walked in the room, we were impressed with the furniture, finishings, wonderful modern tv, serta matresses, different levels of pillow hardness, modern brand new kitchenette, cupboards and full size refridgator. We loved the bathroom with its excellent very hot water and great water pressure. We loved the leather chair in the corner. We appreciated our interactions with Michelle who tried to help us due to a misunderstanding where we did not indeed get a room on the top floor. Everyone was so polite and professional on the staff. The only thing we would change (which we discussed with staff) is actuallly getting some basic pots and pans and silverware and dishes for the kitchen, because I had to literally bring all my supplies from home. Hopefullly they will change this in the future. Also I had people stomping late hours and kept me up. The earplugs barely helped. Even after Michelle had told me I would not have a direct neighbor above me for a bit, and I was beyond thrilled, there was still running and stomping late. I would stay here again in a heartbeat as I absolutely loved the contempory modern gorgeous vibe of the facility but please please put me on the top floor was I have serious insomnia and am a light sleeper so hard stomping, noise and the like after 11 pm makes it hard to sleep. Other than that the staff were incredible and easy to talk to and the room was fabulous. We absolutely loved the full size fridge and being able to cook some delicous meals in the room. Super convenient to downtown Marquette also! Yippee! thank you to all the staff:I regret I forgot some names! They also did a great job cleaning our room when needed.

Had a family emergency in Marquette, MI and after traveling 7 hours, Paul made sure a room was ready for us and even extended it when we needed to stay another day. Cleanest hotel I've been to in years. Thank you to Paul and staff for such great customer service. Will definetly look for more My Place hotels in future travels!!

Front desk staff was very friendly, Helpful and good at their job. The room was clean, organized and complete with everything I needed, Plus a laundry room down the hall. It was nice having a full kitchen for what others charge for a basic room. - Mac

It was a good hotel for the price

All new! Comfy bed, friendly staff. It was SO clean! I am a housekeeper myself and FUSSY about clean! Window trim, under the recliner, and even the furnace filter was spotless! Wonderful. Beautiful kitchen area, but nothing is supplied. Bring your own pots, spoons, plates, flatware, etc. There is a store to buy, but $21.00 for a frying pan. The property description should be more up front about that. Only stayed one night, so worked for me. Book with complete confidence.

The room was clean. They had a cooktop but did not provide pots, pans, or silverware. They list a restaurant and bar but it is actually at separate facility across the parking lot. They also listed a gym, but that was a different facility down the street. It was a nice place, but I don’t like false advertising
