Far from the hotel complexes or rentals in the more western districts, this pretty little riad is very well located in the medina, between the La Mamounia palace, whose gardens it adjoins, and points of interest such as the Saadian tombs, the palace Bahia or Jam'n el Fna square which are 10-15 minutes away on foot, as well as restaurants and shops (otherwise taxis are available in the street). The host is very friendly, available and if necessary he prepares delicious Moroccan dinners and breakfasts, to be taken on the roof top. The bed is made and the towels changed daily. All for a reasonable price which allows you to live in the heart of the city and the daily lives of its residents. In short, I recommend!

Myself and daughter had a fantastic time at arias Elli. From the warm, friendly and welcoming staff to the food, astounding views and cute house kitten - Elli it was truly a gem of a hotel. Staying at the hotel which is centrally located to main tourist spots that enabled my daughter to have made some fantastic memories that she can always cherish. Thank you for welcoming me and my daughter especially the host Zizou!

From the moment we arrived in the Riad, my wife and I felt like we were staying with family. The breakfast and dinners cooked by Asdin were fantastic and restaurant quality and as a host, he left us both very happy and well looked after. The rooftop terrace was just being renovated towards the end of our stay but was were we would often spend most of our time in the sun and enjoying the views and wildlife. At night the area is quiet and peaceful and with the royal palace being so close there are lots of police and security for the area and we felt very safe walking around the streets. Asdin was a great host and made my wife and I very comfortable and was more than accommodating to our needs and requests. We had a lovely time and it was great chatting to the host when we were free. We learnt about the local area and the city and were given lots of information about Morroco. We both had an amazing time staying here and would definitely book again for our next visit to Marrakech.

It is not a riad, but an old, somewhat painted house. The rooms are small and without closets. The bathroom had mold and cockroaches in the shower. Breakfast a little bread, sweets and coffee. Despite notifying them of the arrival time, there was no one waiting and the hotel was closed. Half an hour banging on the door and they didn't even apologize. A disappointing experience.

This will be my first review on Tripadvisor. The photos of Riad Elli are deceiving. We stayed in a room with a broken window, the door did not lock, and the heating did not work. The cleanliness was questionnable and the smell of the mold from the bathroom was in the bedroom. Also, do not book desert tours from Riad Elli, you will be better off from researching and booking yourself or a travel agent directly.

We had a wonderful time at Riad Elli and the Hosts looked after us with the up-most care and attention. We felt like we were at home. Asdin (Zizou) and Samir were very kind and welcoming and really took the time to spend with us as guests. The room was very sweet and comfortable, great view from the terrace. We did a cooking class during our stay which was very fun to learn how to make a tagine. They were very helpful with ideas for us & ensuring we were safe always if we had any questions or doubts. Overall a beautiful stay for us, we would definitely come back! Thankyou!

A real Riad in a super quiet neighborhood 10 minutes from the frenetic "Marrakech world". We were welcomed as long-time friends, pampered and looked after in everything. From the transfer to the food (Zizo's Berber cuisine), from the tea to the advice to avoid possible scammers, from the organization of the desert tour to the pre-bedtime pizza. Overall, a wonderful surprise. An unparalleled full immersion. Thanks Zizo you made a difference

there is no longer a riad in this address and the person called Rashid attracts people with these photos and then supposedly offers them another place! I had the misfortune of falling into this trap via Airbnb, once there around 7 p.m. we found ourselves in front of a door where nothing was marked, the host (Rashid) was not there, by the way no one is there, we knocked on the door for quite a minute as loud as we could, nothing! when I spoke to him on the phone he told me that he is looking for another place for me, so I refused and asked him to cancel my reservation to get my money back but he refused, fortunately Airbnb customer service is responsive, they helped me get my refund, but I ended up struggling to find a place to spend that night, in any case it's my worst experience in Morocco, and I don't want to not that anyone else finds themselves in the same situation which can ruin the holidays
