Very good hotel, very convenient in the central area of Matera. Follow the hotel's travel guidelines, reach the main church square and call the hotel. The hotel will send someone to help with luggage. Because there are steps, luggage service is very needed. The rooms are fully equipped, the bathrooms are modernly decorated, the equipment is very good, and the living is comfortable. Hotel service is also very good. The key is to play Matera, all need to walk, up and down, the hotel location is also very important. Because the hotel itself has a small number of rooms, the price is relatively reasonable, after all, it needs to be equipped with a certain scale of service facilities. Such as the hotel restaurant (Figure 1) is great. Because I had two breakfasts there, I didn't choose dinner. I went to the only Michelin-star restaurant in Matera (Figure 5). Because it was Michelin, the price was high, but unfortunately it cost 150 euros/person for the package. It was actually seven points full. With No Time To Die pending an April 2020 release date those wanting to get into the action may want to check out this hotel as the perfect base - five minutes from the Tower and Duomo and the incredible motorbike stunt and ten minutes from the car chase locations and that of the square seen at the end of trailer one. Incredibly clean, comfortable with friendly staff with a great breakfast (amazing coffee!) the Albergo seems to appear from inside a church. Terrific location. Those hoping to see the Ponte Aquedotto (the bridge leapt from at the start of the cat chase) will need to travel 20mins to Gravina in Puglia, a nearby town. Don't go on Monday as most everything is closed. Costing approx 70 euro by taxi or 5 euro by bus (six buses a day and six return) the bridge can be seen in a morning so suggest basing in Matera and a 3 -4 he trip to Gravina. Overall this hotel is perfect for those wanting to see the film locations - 10/10 for cleanliness, comfort and friendliness. A score worthy of 007 himself.

Excellent Hotel with a amazing view and room! The lady in the front desk was excellent w great recommendations for us. Nadi restaurant was YUM! Out stay was perfect and the room was spacious and very unique and comfortable! My stay was amazing! Shower was great! Breakfast was very nice too!

Upon a very early arrival we were welcomed by the lovely David who offered us a coffee while we waited for our room to be ready and took us out to see the spectacular views over the Sassi. We were blown away by the view on the terrace it is just gorgeous. Our cave room was lovely, clean very well equipped with a cute little courtyard. We had drinks on the terrace at sunset both nights, which was just amazing watching all the lights come on across the Sassi. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was very good with lots of lovely options. The staff were outstanding and very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, tours etc. Best place in Matera

To be honest, I was skeptical about this one. I needed to book the hotel last minute (like literally the previous night), so seeing an old-looking building (probably constructed in the 1980s) was not really encouraging BUT I wanted to see Matera, so I went ahead. The hotel surprised me and by a lot. First of all - yes, the building is old BUT all inside is renovated, so all is great. The rooms are good in size (not too small at all, just right) and everything is very clean. You have a full minibar if you want something and the hotel has a working restaurant and staff at reception 24/7. The breakfast is phenomenal (like, literally anything any traveler could want) and the staff are helpful and friendly. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Basically, there is no other hotel in Matera which is closer to the Sassi and the historical center. You just need 5 minutes of slow walking (entrance to the old town square is just behind the hotel :) ) and you are at the viewpoint and the cistern. There is a vending machine for snacks and drinks just less than 10 minutes away down the street from the hotel (in the old town) and any sights and amazing places to eat are within the same 5-10 minute distance. If you want to see the historical center of Matera, this is the place to stay (you won't regret it, trust me!). The hotel is very popular with Italians visiting Matera, so keep that in mind and if you are not travelling solo, like me, better book in advance :) The prime location comes with a single downside and a few things to consider (listing them here as they are just things to keep in mind and not something that is a huge issue) - the proximity to the Sassi means you will be quite far away from the bus station (3 kilometers) and the train station (1.5 kilometers). The distance is not that much BUT it is an uphill slope 90% of the time, so if you have a lot of luggage, better take a taxi. I loved it, so there is nothing I can put my finger at as a bad things, really, I just want to continue what I started above with the things you should keep in mind when visiting. If you come by car, make sure to notify the hotel in advance, as it is within a restricted parking area and parking lots are limited. Also be aware that the hotel is busy (as I said, very popular with Italians visiting) and check-in starts at 15.00, so if you come in earlier than that, you may need to wait. The staff would do anything they can to accommodate you early, BUT if you plan on arriving before noon, better notify them, to get your room ready. The hotel also have luggage storage, just so you know. Did I say I loved it? Just to repeat I can't wait to return!

The staff was incredible. The b&b is run by a family - we met the mom and daughter upon cHeck in, and they were the friendliest, most helpful staff we have met. The property is very centrally located, very clean and modern. We were just a 5 min walk to the center of matera, but just off the main road so it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms are all different colors! We throughly enjoyed our stay. Rosella and her mom were super nice! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and convenient location in matera.

Devo subito premettere che eravamo giunti a Matera senza aver effettuato alcuna prenotazione. Dopo vari tentativi andati a vuoto, dal Piccolo Albergo ci hanno fatto sapere che avevano ancora una stanza disponibile, ma con un letto alla ”francese” in pratica una piazza e mezza. Quindi nessuna sorpresa quando ci siamo trovati in questa camera, al secondo piano senza ascensore, dove anche il bagno era minuscolo. Niente tavolino, né frigo o un bicchiere in bagno ma soprattutto nessuna climatizzazione... momentaneamente fuori servizio. Molta cortesia e disponibilità (ci hanno reso disponibile un posteggio gratuito per due giorni) e non è poco. Anche il prezzo è stato ragionevolmente piccolo.

I stayed here one night with the tour group. My room was 208 and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was different. They had breads and pastries on the tables and would serve you coffee. I asked if they had eggs and was told they would come right out, But I didn't see any place for the eggs. They came out with about 12 oval dishes with 3 pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs, but the eggs looked like they were placed in the dish and then baked. They had a 'skin' on them. Maybe they sat out in the air for a few hours and had dried out. Three people were on my table and we got 3 dishes of eggs, so we each took one. The dishes were extremely hot. As more and more people came for breakfast, we were a group of 35, it was announced that only 3 dishes per table would be provided and we should share. OOPS. Because we early birds assumed one dish per person, there were not enough eggs for the later people. They had to make more eggs, but ran out of bacon! Was this because we were there off season? because everyone is trying to recover from the pandemic? because this region of Italy is cheap? because the tour company got a 'deal”? The gardens and grounds were beautiful and relaxing.

We arrived by car at this new, modern hotel. We could easily park the car in one of the free parking spaces in the fenced area in front of the impressive building. At the reception we were welcomed by a lady who was top friendly and super professional at the same time. When we checked in, we immediately felt warmly welcome. We were given valuable tips for our stay in the city, and we were also helped to book a table for dinner when seats in the restaurants were scarce because of the weekend. The spacious rooms have a creative design. At the same time, they are very homely. Everything is absolutely clean. The beds are comfortable with pleasant pillows. Air conditioning and rain shower are of course also part of the great equipment. At breakfast, we were equally welcomed by brilliant staff who complemented the rich, high-quality buffet with perfect service. We will be back!
