Very friendly staff, price/quality ratio is very good. The community supporting activities are wonderful. Peaceful place to stay. The trainings that are being given by Kara-Tunga Safari Camp to the people of the Karamojong communities are the best way to develop their skills within tourism and to give them the opportunity to have their own income.

The stay was very nice! The people are super friendly and the food was delicious! We stayed for 2 nights, and slept like a baby 😉 The lodge is an eco lodge and the work on solar energy, this means that (hot) water is rather scarce, however they notify you before hand, so no surprises there 😉

The staff here is super friendly and patient (even with my indecisive friend). The rooms are clean, and they serve the best food in Moroto town—hands down the best pizza too! They organized our hike and got us an amazing guide. Our hike to Mount Moroto was incredible. If you want to experience Karamoja, book with Karatunga. Oh, and the fresh coffee is fantastic! We'll definitely be back.

I stayed here as a volunteer of a Hungarian association to get to know this region better. I can say that this place was absolutely wonderful. I tried one of the rooms and the tents as well. This was my first time in Africa and I really liked the design and the atmosphere of the camp. The rooms are clean and comfortable, my favourite one was the bathroom in the safari tent, it looked really cool. The employees here are all so kind and helpful. The meals were very tasty and good quality. In the evenings we danced and talked by the campfire. I had very peaceful nights here after our busy and tiring days. All our cultural experiences here, like the Mount Moroto hike, the visit of the nomadic cattle camp or the tribe cultural tours, were fantastic and will remain special and lifelong memories. The mission and the working method of this social enterprise is really unique and fantastic. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Beautiful camp in a good location but it can be noisy. They do have ear plugs available, which came in handy. There was a man with a terrible cough in the tent next to me. Make sure you eat breakfast early. They ran out of food when I decided to eat at 8am. They tend to run out of ingredients but your in rural Uganda. The lounge is very nice as well as the tents, but the tents are a little too close together. You can follow the conversations in the adjacent tents Laundry is cheap and can be done overnight. Make sure you visit a local village, Brian is a good guide. Very satisfying stay with a friendly staff.

We had a great stay, food was great and we had a community tour which was educational and mind blowing.. My boys enjoyed the dances and Daniel (tour guide) explained all about the Karamajong cultural dances and culture. Look forward to visiting Moroto again. Alot to see that we didn't get a chance to see as we were time limited

We had a good time in this hotel. Good tent, good food and nice people. We made a trip to the villages on a motorcycle with Daniel and Daniel. I would recommand them if you are in the area. They know the tribes and know where to go. So ask them for a nice trip.
