It's a great experience for me to stay at a heritage property, i am delighted and impressed with the experience of the food and environment. I always feel like i'm staying at dhammagiri, igatpuri where i goes for my meditation course.

It’s an average stay one can go with. The rooms were not that good considering the price. Some ac deluxe rooms are like cage, very small and congested. Rest the food was excellent and homely and the property is big. We booked it as all others hotel were already booked. Also it’s at dead end, so everything is far except few points.

Property is well located at walkable distance from main market and many beautiful view points like lord, lake, rambaug, khandala point, race course and others. Owner is very helpful and staff is very polite. Service and food is good. Nice place for a peaceful break.

Very expensive food. Taste is good but prices are unnecessarily high. Suggest to eat outside instead of this. Hotel facilities are below average. Leakages in bathrooms, noisy fans. They should spend some money in improving facilities. Only location wise it's good. Points are less farther

Pros:
1. The pictures did justify the delux non ac room we booked. 2. Girivihar premisis was huge & had positive vibes just meant for a relaxing get away. Cons:
1. Super expensive food - we had to pay rs. 200 per plate of 'onion bajji' not knowing the rate prehand since they had no menu card, we ordered 5plates of it & also rs. 300 per plate for a veg unltd thali that was average in taste. 2. Girivihar is far from matheran rely stn. 18-20mins straight walk. Overall stay was pleasant. I would strongly recommend you to manage food delivered from nearby restaurant to save money. My rating - 3. 8/5 stars

The place is located near charlotte lake some 2kms from the market. It is serene. Very clean and neatly maintained. Gives us a hang of how british houses would have been. The owner has preserved the beauty of the architecture. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. Veg and non veg both are served. Non veg at an additional but affordable price. The staff is cordial and very helpful. The owner ms smite acharya personally looks into the well being of her guests. Very cheerful and smiling personality.
