Radha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India. For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information: - The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking. - It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk. - It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter. - Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2. - Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day.

Washroom was not clean plastic bucket was not washed mattress was also dirty can be cleaned no drinking water facility was there it should be there fan was very poor very high voice was coming from fan which was very disturbing mattress was broken and blanket was very old and dirty

I had visited this place ***** with my wife in the month of December 2022. The place is five minute apart from the main market. We had opted for all meals plan where the food satisfied our taste buds. The resort also organizes magic show like any other property in Matheran. We had also opted for the spa session which we could have avoided. The property has indoor pool as well and they also organize a DJ night on Saturday.

Very excellent experience. Zubair bhai very humble person. It was my first time in matheran. And missed my mini train and was late. Due to network issue not able to contact also. But zubair bhai was continuously trying calls to me as he was waiting for me on station. He took us to his hotel. Very clean. Very good location.
