Everything is just average. I have experienced ryokan a lot before, this hotel-ryokan is quite normal. Honestly the food (gaiseki) was not that great as much as my prior experince at other ryokan. Just enjoy the vibe and onsen.

very accommodating service for my family. Beautiful and well maintained place with great customer care. My mother was very satisfied and was happy.

The place to go to try Japanese fine dining, kaiseki. I was grateful for the kaiseki throughout my stay, and the hot springs were clean and nice. Room conditions will vary depending on the price, but overall it seemed like an old facility, but it felt like a really neat model of traditional Japanese lodging. The location is reasonably quiet and close to Dogo Onsen Station.

Good location, big room, rich breakfast. The kaiseki dinner was booked too late and it was already full early in the morning, so it was a pity that I couldn’t try it.

My husband and I are enjoying a hot spring inn. The facilities were pretty average, the large communal bath that I was looking forward to didn't feel like a hot spring, and the food was average. The scenery was not as good as I expected since it is one of the three oldest springs in Japan. I wonder if the staff responded well. The Dogo Onsen main building, which is a tourist attraction, was being renovated, so it was a shame that the bathhouse was an old public bathhouse, and the surrounding shopping street couldn't feel the atmosphere of a hot spring.

Before evaluating the service, I had the worst feeling of any ryokan I've ever stayed at. Well, it's okay because I'm not going anymore.

It's been a long time since I've been impressed by the service that can carry the car to the parking lot. Breakfast is Japanese food, and all the rice is so delicious that you can replace the rice! I was particularly impressed by the delicious miso soup with clams. There was a simple massager in the room, but it's hard to use because it can't be reclined, so it may not be necessary... The 4 massagers at the entrance to the public bath are the best! It's free too. "I used it every time I went to the bathroom." It's a large inn and the prices are reasonable, so I think it's whether you can enjoy the standard specifications rather than customization. For example, the person who served us dinner was probably a young man working part-time as a student, but it was refreshing, and we could see that he had put some effort into making a large amount of food at once. I was told that room cleaning would start around 9:30 when I checked in, but it started earlier than that. It was amazing to see so many staff cleaning at once. As mentioned above, as mentioned in some reviews, perfect hospitality is not provided, but I got the impression that individual staff members were making various efforts based on the manual, just like at a large theme park. . Overall, this is a ryokan that you can fully enjoy.

I hate Mammoth Hotels, but there were so few other people here that I couldn't believe they were accommodating a large number of people, and even when I ate in the private room, I hardly met anyone. What is especially noteworthy is the carefully designed tea room. The quality is so high that you can't believe it's inside a concrete building, and when you ask about it, you'll be convinced that it was made by a craftsman from Kyoto who stayed there for a long time. The inside of the hotel was decorated with Ohara-style decorations, giving it the feel of a high-class inn. However, it's a bit old so it's not shiny, but I was able to really feel the hospitality of the employees. This ryokan changed the impression that it was too big to handle. I will visit again.
