Same as above, the room type is not suitable, and it ends up being frustrating. During my ten days in Mauritius this time, I had the worst experience at the Long Beach Hotel. I can even say that the island of Mauritius is not particularly welcoming to Chinese people. This is much worse than the Maldives, Bali, and Phuket. Finally, Long Beach Hotel and all the hotels in its group will definitely no longer be my choice, and I will also advise all my friends not to go.

We came here after a terrible experience at raddison Blue, and from the entrance and reception, you can see it is world's apart and how a proper resort should be. The initial greeting was welcoming when we arrived. The room was spacious and well thought out, We knew we chose the right resort to stay in. Food; we mainly dined in le marche, which was a buffet, but every night there was different cuisines, and the food was excellent with a wide choice of options. We tried 2 ala carte sapori, which was Italian and chopstix, otherwise there's was tides for lunch and a beach hut for bento and powki bowl meals. Chopstix was chinese and was delicious and reminded me of Thai food. Sapori was a little dissapoining due to the service being slow and food not tasting quite average. The food at all other places were however, great! Spa: This was very relaxing, we had several treatments and used the hamam, and it was well worth it! I think pricing could be more competitive, but my wife said it was worth it, so I took her word for it. Service: This was very good, except when I visited sapori, as I mentioned. Sometimes, I feel the waiters could have been a little more attentive. I had to wait over 10 minutes or longer to get served even when the bar was empty and they were just chatting to themselves, I ended up leaving to go to pool bar area where service was quicker. Activities; The gym area was ok, I went a few times during the stay. The equipment was old and quite a few machines were broken or didn't work properly. There were other options to play table tennis, tennis, wall climbing ad football which I took part in most of the activities. One of the main negatives I have is there are alot of ants and some cockroaches which I noticed around the resort and in our room. We luckily took insect repellent spray down, after using that we had far less ants in our room. There were quite a few ants in the main buffet, however, on some tables, which needs to be resolved. Overall, the resort is amazing. Just a few minor details to improve, such as service, the gym, and the bug situation, would make it 5 stars for me.

The best service I have experienced by far - incredible! An unbelievable Resort! ————————- The infinity Pool & the beach were amazing. The food astonishing good. The weather because of the „Winter Season“ not always the best. ————————- Especially my guys, Anish, Jovanni & Vick made every evening at the bar very special.

Such helpful friendly people and so clean. We went for our 30th anniversary.Yes it is their winter i June but it is still 27 degrees with a breeze so its very comfortable.The staff were so friendly and helpful and genuinely just wanted to help in any way they could.We got chatting to a superviser in one of the restauraunts ( there are 5 ),and she asked where we would be eating to celebrate our anniversary, we told her the Italian, and on the night they prepared a special table for us and the staff bought us cake with candles in and sang happy anniversary to us.Highly recommend Long Beach , it is a 5 star resort ( not cheap ) if you go book all inclusive it will save you a fortune.Facilites are great I personally got into archery and have just ordered some kit.Lots of off site trips you can go on as well.We will be going back.

We stayed at Long Beach for 10 nights on an All Inclusive basis and had the most fantastic time. From the welcome given at check in to our final day, the service was second to none. The staff are all so lovely and helpful (a particular mention for Samia at breakfast who was so pleasant and went the extra mile to make sure we were well looked after!). The hotel grounds are beautiful and so well looked after. The beach is gorgeous, although a little windy at times (we visited during the Mauritian winter so expected this). The main pool area is great with a mixture of sun loungers and seating areas - we never had a problem getting a good spot. The adult’s only infinity pool was a favourite too - so peaceful and a wonderful view of the beach and ocean. The dining options at the hotel are great and the a la carte restaurants give some variety. We booked in to these using the hotel app and it was so straightforward - we always managed to get a reservation at a time we wanted. I’ve been to hotels previously where it has been so difficult to get availability in a la carte restaurants so this was a great change! The quality of food was very good everywhere we ate and the drinks list both in both bars was extensive. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to this hotel in future!

Long Beach Mauritius Long Beach - a SunLife resort is nestled on a heartbreakingly beautiful stretch of white sand on the north east Mauritius coast. Taxi transfer from the airport is around one hour depending in traffic. The east coast is the ‘windy’ side of the island but this proved nothing more than a light breeze while we stayed. Our beach access ground floor suite was neatly appointed, one of the largest and most practical suites we have stayed in with plenty of living and storage space. Restaurants, services and staff can not be faulted, it’s some of the freshest and best quality food we have ever had on an all inclusive holiday. Staff such as Singh - Tides, Jalaish M - Sappori, Annabelle and Joy - Sapori Breakfast were absolutely wonderful during our stay. Both Sapori and Tides were wonderful for long lunches with a glass of wine or for an evening meal. Please don’t expect to gobble and go. Meals can take an hour to an hour and a half. Just sit back relax and enjoy. Chopsticks is a lovely evening venue with a small but tasty menu (our 12 year old’s favourite place). Restaurants can be booked in the app, see F&B concierge to complete access (you will also be logged out every time you leave resort) we used the app a little but just spoke to concierge most mornings for the next day. This hotel is perfect for pretty much everyone, do as much or as little as you like. There are plenty of free water sports activities provided by the hotel which aren’t championed enough. Take advantage of them. Glass bottom boat trip, snorkelling, paddle board and kayaking. There was rumour of a nighttime crabbing trip but nothing openly advertised…Water skiing lessons were short and not the cheapest but great fun. The central piazza is a great place day or night, a glorious back drop or shady corner during the day or a lively place at night. Singers are great but loud. Twice weekly markets interesting. The main pool was popular but never over crowded, sun loungers could be found anytime. We toured the southern island, took the 5 Islands tour, local splash park and visited Casela - all reviewed separately. There are a few little bits that prevent it from being a 5* review. Our beach access room was probably 50 yards through gardens to the beach, no problem, but it’s just a garden view room really. Some of the nice touches dressing gowns (three of us in the room, only two dressing gowns - every hotel does this) disappeared after a day or two along with the fluffy bath mat and even face cloths stopped being replaced by day 12. The patio doors were super stiff to open, secured with a hastily added catch. But we couldn’t for one second fault the cleanliness of our room the housekeeping team were superb. Check in is a little underwhelming - it might just be after 22 hours travelling we hoped for a little more. Check out is time consuming it took three attempts to collect our luggage - slightly over a hour. Sat in reception waiting to check out

We choose this hotel in order to spend a relaxed week and from check-in to checkout everything and everybody contributed to it. Very good beach and spots to take sun baths ( when weather permitted). Full of people willing to make our stay perfect. Tides and Shores bars, restaurants, housekeeping thanks. Thanks Vini for taking care of my throat, you are very professional. I don't want to leave anyone, thanks EVERYBODY

Outstanding resort. Room was stunning, the beach was perfect! Snorkling was included and what an experience it was. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful, but a special shout out has to go to Pratimah and Morna, who helped plan the most magical proposal with me on the beach. Without those two keeping everything organised and running about daft for us it wouldn’t have been half the event that it was. Ever so grateful for everything by they did and all their experience and advice. The food was very good, and there were a number of options for lunch and dinner. The spa was also outstanding. We booked in for a couples massage and the two lovely masseuses were amazing. What a relaxing and invigorating experience it was set amongst wonderful gardens and scenery. We will be back

Got back last Thursday after an amazing trip to long beach hotel with my family of four (kids aged 4 and 2 nearly 3) Yes, the hotel is a bit tired in places but this definitely didn’t spoil it for us. The restaurants were all lovely the only one we didn’t try was Hasu, food was well cooked and well presented but you do need to book in early. Evening buffet was ok, could always find something to eat and staff were on hand if we needed anything extra for the kids. Both my boys enjoyed the kids club, however as the youngest wasn’t out of nappies we couldn’t leave him without hiring a babysitter/nanny which we didn’t do. What would be a good idea is if they let parents come back and check their child every hour and change them if necessary. The staff were exceptional and really made the holiday for us and I can’t thank them enough for that. A massive thank you to Samia at breakfast and lunch for making my boys feel special we really won’t forget you. Also, Jenny who made the boys smile daily and Roshita for always finding us a table and holding the boys hands. Singh and Gaytree, for treating us well at lunchtime and always with a smile. And not forget Sarah keeping the place clean and tidy! All the staff went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay, we hope to be back one day.

Our recent stay at the Long Beach Hotel in Mauritius was a great experience, thanks to the exceptional service, outstanding facilities, and activities that made our holiday truly special. We even extended our stays for few extra days. Swimming Pool Restaurant: A special shoutout to Olivier and Lindon 🧢 at the swimming pool restaurant. Their friendly and attentive service made our poolside dining a delight. Main Restaurants: The dining experience was elevated by the incredible staff at the main restaurants. The one and only Jenny 😊, Melissa, Samia, Rachelle, Elsa, Vada, Kevin, Chef Ravi, and Chef Raya 👨🏽‍🍳 went above and beyond to ensure every meal was memorable. They added a personal touch that made us feel like home. Guest Experience Team: Our gratitude goes out to Mr Tony, Thudun, Nadia, Shay, Keshna, Poojah, and Dolores🏅. They consistently provided top-notch service, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any request. Kids/Teen Club: For families traveling with children, the Kids/Teen club is a must-visit. Melanie, Virginie, Astride, Laeticia, Vivek, and Britany ⚽️ created a fun and safe environment where our kids could play and learn, allowing us to relax knowing they were in great hands. Sport Team: We thoroughly enjoyed the fitness and sports activities offered, thanks to Coach Tony and Sharma 💪🏾. Their expertise motivated us to stay active and try new activities. Infirmary: A heartfelt thank you to Jany 🩺 at the infirmary. Her care and professionalism were reassuring, and we felt well taken care of in her capable hands. Our family have just returned from Long Beach and had a really wonderful time! We planned lots of excursions but found ourselves cancelling to stay on the beautiful beach/snorkelling or relax by the small adult only pool area. Although it’s not a small hotel, the layout of the hotel and the opening times of restaurants etc meant that it never felt too busy or crowded which we wanted - a hotel with facilities but not one that felt like a big chain as we usually do small hotels/airbnbs. Food choices were excellent for everyone plus lots of vegan options which was important for us and if there was nothing you wanted it was easy to ask and have something made. The staff are amazing and just couldn’t do enough for you- Azra in Housekeeping, waiter Ayo, Manager Raj - and the amazing receptionist who found emergency nappies as we left - to name a few! The children loved the kids club and the variety of activities that took place - including a boat trip, walk to the Chef’s garden and swimming. We were impressed by the programme and the additional activities that took place over Christmas which made it really special for the girls. We liked the little touches including a panettone delivered to our door on Christmas morning! Would recommend booking a room with direct access to a garden and the beach (we were 108 which was well located). Loved our stay and would recommend to families with young children who are wanting a relaxing break! Things to note: I would rate this as a good 4 star hotel, definitely not 5 star by UK standards. You will either need to hire a car or driver (from reception) for day trips. Nothing is in walking distance except for the beach. Recycling facilities are fairly non existent which was disappointing and could definitely be improved - more bins on the beach/emptied more regularly and more litter collection to stop the overspill into the sea.
