¡Espero volver pronto! Check in very quick and easy, the gentleman that gave me the room key was very friendly, the room was clean and smelled amazing (with mini fridge and a fan inside - BE AWARE that the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning) and the bed was very comfy. The hotel is close to all of the main attractions the capital of the island has to offer. I hope to return soon!

Apartamentos Castillo Beach
Apartamentos Castillo BeachApartamentos Castillo Beach

These lovely apartments in typical Canarian style are situated in the popular holiday resort of Caleta de Fuste, on the east coast of Fuerteventura. The complex features a pool and a poolside bar; the beach is within a 10-minute walk. The marina, a thalassotherapy centre and 2 golf courses are within walking distance. The international airport of Fuerteventura is just 5 km away.

GGuest User 2023.10.18
I arrived at Castillo in the early evening of October 2nd 2023 as a solo traveller. Having left home some 8 hours previously, I felt tired , hungry , and thirsty and was therefore looking forward to being welcomed to my apartment quickly and efficiently as a holidaymaker. Instead I found myself face to face with a surly and charmless young man who ran through the check in procedure in a bored and disinterested fashion before thrusting a grainy and badly photocopied map into my hand in order to find my apartment myself amongst hundreds of similar white bungalows in the complex At this point I might add I’m the only traveller checking in at that point. Some 45 minutes later I find my apartment after walking round the complex umpteen times , if the check in guy had removed himself from behind the desk and simply pointed to a gate 50 yards up the road all this could have been avoided. The apartment was tired looking , sagging curtains , broken sofa bed , the main beds were uncomfortable metal frame affairs with a mismatched wooden headboard jammed up between them and the walls No air con , simply antiquated ceiling fans/lights which were hard to figure out to keep running without the lights on. Kitchenette appallingly equipped . Something scuttles when I open a cupboard Blocked drains emitting foul odours in the bathroom The roads around the complex are shocking , featuring broken manhole covers , broken electrical boxes , discarded rubbish lying around , and oh watch out for cars randomly crossing your path without warning from the strange little mini roundabouts which allow cars to zoom in front of people in a pedestrian zone. Also beware the electric scooters hacking around everywhere I think I had 3 room service visits in a fortnight , and despite paying for late checkout on my last day I then had a cleaner wondering why I was still there at 12 , I had to google the words paid late check out to get rid of her , obviously someone hadn’t done their job! Finally if you come here and are not particularly fit , it’s approximately 1 1/4 miles to the nearest beach , despite saying beach resort and a steep uphill climb on the return I’m sure Castillo will give the standard reply to this review , but you need to revamp your rooms , employ staff that are good with people , repair your roads , look after your grounds properly , including using the irrigation system in order to avoid the eyesore of dead plants everywhere, last but not least some general information given to guests and proper signage around the place would greatly help!

Apartments are up the hill which is a good walk or you can get a taxi for about €3.50. Plenty of taxis about. Very basic apartments but they do include everything you need. you need to request fresh towels the day in advance. There is a laundrette on site which charges €5 per wash, also a dryer for around same price. Beds not the greatest so Don’t expect a comfortable sleep but you get what you pay for!

We stayed for 1 week in august . We arrived at approx 9pm and as soon as we stepped off the bus we were welcomed by David. He is a fabulous member of staff and an asset to the hotel. He always spoke to us and our daughter and he even waved us off when we left. Check in was smooth and very friendly and informative and we were offered a drink of our choice while checking in. There was no pressure to leave a card on hold and we said we will sort it the next day. We were given a map of the hotel and we went for some food as the restaurant was still open. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. Lots of space for clothes. The bathroom was big and I loved the separation of the sinks from the toilet and showers rooms. Idea for a family to all get ready. The hairdryer is very powerful and no need to bring your own. Rooms have robes. The hotel and pool areas are very clean and attention this is always made which I like. The pool beds have pillows which is a nice touch and your towels can be left on the pool beds at end of beach day, no need to take them with you, just collect new ones daily. The biggest thing for us was there is no need to rush down to get beds on the morning, there are plenty and no rushing at all is needed. Food was amazing. We stayed half board. Breakfast- very varied selection of food items in the morning. English bacon and sausages. The toast machine is actually good ha ha. There is a proper coffee machine made by the staff which is a nice touch. Breakfast is open till 11 which I liked. The buffet dinner was excellent and not like a buffet in hotels.. very good food. Location is excellent and the walk into town is approx 10/12 minutes along the prom. ( leave through back gate directly onto the prom and go left) The atlantico ( go out of back gate and turn right) is very close for the supermarket and bars and restaurants and shops. There is a children’s arcade and bowling alley for something different for the kids, and an outside children’s zone. We will definitely be staying again

For context, two adults and an 11 y.old child, All Inclusive, 10-17th Sept. I'm not one for hotel/resort type holidays so had my reservations before I came but I have to say, the experience was fantastic and it was great to see us all enjoy the food and facilities. We arrived about Midday so with rooms available from 3pm we were able to put the luggage in the room by reception and avail ourselves of the food (from 1pm) and drink until the room was ready. The 'front of house' staff were really welcoming, as was everybody connected with the hotel actually. I booked a first floor with pool view given the odd comments on cockroaches, the room was great, beds really comfortable and a good shower. No noise from neighbours and slept like a log! A vast selection of food choice available for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We're not big on eating fish/shell fish but we did try one of those options each night. There's always a couple of 'grill' options available (where most people queue) along with salad bars, cheese/nuts section, veggie section plus the standard pizza/fries type stuff for the less adventurous. I've a sweet tooth so appreciated the Haribo/Marshmallows as an addition to the ice cream ;) Really, a tremendous array of options - I was surprised given some of the reviews. Drinks on tap from morning to night although sometimes the carbonated soda for Pepsi/Fanta etc was flat at some of the pumps - basically you get to know where you go until everything is back to norm. Handy to have the pool bar although we didn't exactly prop ourselves against it! Pool activities in the morning (e.g AquaGym) kept some people busy and other daytime activities kept coming. The 'ActivTeam' members did a sterling job each and every day in keeping the pool activities going, a big thanks for being so generous with your time and for taking time out to chat to my daughter :) I read some comments re. lack of sunbed availability - I really think this must have been June to August as there were plenty available. I also think you'll get to see longer queues in the food halls and bars at peak season too so for me, September was a perfect month to go. Evening mostly revolved around dinner (we chose 19.45-20.45 slot) and then either hanging around to see the entertainment or walking the short distance to Correlejo Old Town. The in-house entertainment was may be one area the hotel struggled with although I wasn't expecting much to be honest and the crowd participation was a bit of a struggle for most acts to get to grips with! :D I appreciated the more 'rock' type music one night but generally we went down to just see what was happening. Drinks - local brand alcohol until 11pm and we got this on the All Inclusive. We're not cocktail drinkers so can't comment on the quality etc. There's a price list for known brands (e.g Smirnoff/Captain Morgan/Bombay Sapphire). The only aspect that was a little frustrating was the constant queue at the evening entertainment bar.

My 17-year-old daughter and I stayed at the hotel in August 2024, our second year in a row here, and once again, it did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the staff friendly staff exceeded our expectations. The reception team was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making check-in a breeze—our bags were taken care of before we even got to our room, which was a fantastic touch. Throughout our stay, the restaurant and bar staff continued this level of service, always friendly and eager to assist. We opted for the all-inclusive package, and it was a great choice. The food selection was extensive and there was always plenty to enjoy. The freshly made pizzas were a highlight, especially for my daughter! We also dined one evening at the Zensation restaurant, where the quality of both food and service was top-notch. Our waiter, Javier, was exceptionally attentive, making our dining experience memorable. We treated ourselves to a couple of massages at the spa, which offered great value for money. The spa staff, Fotou and Fernanda were both professional and exceptionally good at their jobs. Nothing was a problem. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, making it a perfect addition to our stay. While we loved lounging by the pool, we noticed there weren't many parasols available, and they tended to get reserved very early in the morning. A few more parasols would definitely enhance the poolside experience. We stayed in the Zensation suite, which was really comfortable and the air conditioning was brilliant. The room cleaning service was good, and the cleaning staff were always friendly. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a short walk to the El Campanario Centre, which has a variety of cafes, shops, and a charming craft market on Thursdays and Sundays. It's also only about a 15 minute walk to Corralejo and close to the beach, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local area. While we didn’t participate in the hotel's evening entertainment this year, we found plenty to do in Corralejo, especially enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the Music Square. Taxis were very affordable for getting back to the hotel after our evenings out, which was a plus. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!

RRmills123456Sceptical from reading others reviews but honestly a really good hotel, pool was small but never had a problem getting a sunbed at different times of the days, life guard on duty at all times, cheap vending machine was a life saver when we arrived really late at night, location is close to a supermarket, beautiful views from the rooftop terrace. The terrace can provide food and drinks Wednesday to Sunday all day , the music was amazing on the terrace and if you’re into parties, make sure you go on Saturday nights because wow. Locals in the area are lovely. The hotel is located 5-10 minute walk from the music square and other places to eat and drink. We had a small room so we made our space work, only downfall was the size of the shower, just enough room to stand let alone lather some soap on your legs wouldn’t say the decor was dated but could maybe do with some tweaking from maintenance (shower handle was a bit delicate & missing a door frame in bed room) but honestly would recommend staying here, it’s clean, staff are friendly. We couldn’t comment on the breakfast as we didn’t have any here. Drinks are reasonably priced at the roof top aswell if anyone is wondering. For the price we paid we couldn’t complain, thank you to all the staff❤️

We stayed in H10 Ocean Suites for a week. We arrived after 2100 hrs and were told that the dining room would be set up again for us from 2230 as we had missed the evening meal time. No complimentary drink was offered to us on arrival but we did see others during our stay being offered one on arrival. No coffee pods for machine. When we were getting our bags out of room on last day there was a welcome card and complimentary drink voucher and chocolates sitting ? Staff - were very pleasant at reception, in the dining room they were too quick to clear your plates to the extent that you had just put last mouthful in your mouth and they took plate away sometimes even with your food that you were eating still on it. You felt that they were hovering over you. Food - not the worst I’ve had but certainly not the best. Breakfast had a fairly good choice, evening meal was repetitive and we were only there a week. Cleanliness- Bedding was clean and towels were freshened whenever you wished. Toilet seat kept coming off at joint, toilet wasn’t the cleanest and shower cubicle had mould round it. The area where you could sit out on wasn’t brushed daily so any food or crumbs were left caused ants we did try to keep ourselves from dropping crumbs etc. We did see a couple of cockroaches. Pool area - Sun loungers are a bit worn and hit or miss if you got a comfy one, not enough umbrellas for the amount of people and most of them were hard to get up some broken and were held together with tape, pool area didn’t appear to be cleaned regularly as marks and dirt from day before still there. The place is certainly in need of quite a bit of TLC and I would not class it as a 4 star more like 3 . I would not stay here again and would have to consider if I would stay in a H10 again

GGuest UserThe Hotel lied. Three days before our stay, we had read on another site that repair works were being conducted at our hotel. I got in touch with Easyjet to ask if this was the case. They said they works look into it. They phoned me back a day before we flew and told me any work was minor and would be finished. Me being me, phoned the Hotel directly and was told by Libby she would check with her manager. She reported that there was some painting of the chill out area being completed and it would be finished by the time we got there. As you can see in the photos, this was not the case. They were replacing tiles to the roof! Whole areas were sectioned off, losing at least 20+ sunloungers, Barely any safery measures in place. Loud noise too. If I hadn't been recovering from a stroke and I hadn't pointed this out when I phoned, then maybe, just maybe I could have got over it but it just wasn't the holiday I had planned for, expected nor been reassured about. Silly things also let it down: we weren't allowed tea or coffee after lunch or dinner. They refused to turn the machines back on from breakfast, instead pointing us to the pool bar to have one in a plastic cup. Who wants to leave a restaurant to go elsewhere for a cuppa?! Hardly an all inclusive service! Adult only Hotel but with only 2 TV channels in English, one of which is the Disney channel 🤔 😄 plenty of Mickey Mouse! Sort it out! Oh and while you're at it, please put a door on the bathroom! I'm not shy however the entrance to the bathroom was opposite the largest window, which was opposite the neighbouring Hotel! We had to have the blind down the whole time so we didn't show more than our ankles! Lovely huge corner room but spoilt by no privacy. Food was delicious 😋 not one bad meal. Alcoholic drink choice not great, cocktails appalling 🙄😒 entertainment was good on a few nights. In short the Hotel had the potential to be fabulous but fell short and became frustrating and irritating, such a shame.

GGuest UserJust returned from a fantastic week here. The room we had was on the opposite side to pool and reception, which was lovely and peaceful. Didn't spend time at the pool or eat here as we are beach lovers and walk a lot. Reception were friendly, very pleasant and helpful. The bungalow was superb, very clean and spacious. Lovely bathroom with great shower. Patio is huge and we left towels etc out at night with no problem at all. Other guests on our side were friendly, some return year after year. So many different restaurants nearby which we tried. Thai, Indian, Spanish and Mexican. All very good value in my opinion as we spend most of our holidays on Greek Islands. We didn't find it 'typical Brit' as earlier reviews stated. All in all, a lovely resort in lovely accommodation! Would I go back? Definitely be there next January!

PPablo Altvarg JuffeThe place is good, but maybe there are better hotels for the same price. Caleta de Fuste Beach is ideal for exploring the island because it is in the center of it, with a car you have 1 hour up and another hour down from this hotel to go to the best beaches. You can also relax on the hotel's beach with a very beautiful artificial pool made by the sea.

Finally getting round to reviewing the hotel after our second visit here and another great 2 week stay. For a start, we enjoyed our first stay last year that much we were keen to return! Before arriving at the hotel we emailed reception to request the same room we had last year as it could not have been any better for us and amazingly, when we checked in we had got it again! So very grateful to the reception staff for this as it really made our holiday and we can tell the staff really will make the effort to any requests - so thank you very much for this. Animation team - They all work so hard all day and really make a difference here. Roberto, Malvina and Yune especially, we enjoy the adult activities during the day as not ones to sit about bored at the pool and Yune is great with the kids too. Bar and restaurant staff - again they all work so hard long hours and are always very pleasant to speak to. Jose, Elizabeth, Mercedes, Carmelo, Lorena, Silvia, Jesus are great, always remember our orders and very friendly. Rooms/cleaning - the rooms are as you expect from photos, not brand new and it shows but nothing people don’t already know. Spend as little time as possible in them so fine for us. Towels were changed almost every day and maids cleaned, beds changed a few times in the 2 weeks, can’t remember how often. Food/Drink - the food is OK. Our first visit we found it better, but not sure if it just felt more repeated for us and that’s why we were getting a bit fed up. Started to prefer to order from snack bar for toasties instead of going inside to eat at lunches. Some nights better than others for variety of food available, I did also get a piece of chicken from the fresh bit that wasn’t completely cooked so it put me off a little from that. We always eat out a few nights too, fado rock is great and fusion 22 Indian also very good. Drinks are fairly standard for all inclusive so can’t complain, and the sangria is very nice which we would have during lunch/dinner. Pool areas - the year before we found you had to be up really sharp to get a sunbed but it wasn’t as bad this year. Hate doing it but if you go down about 8 just before breakfast you can get what you want, we prefer the middle pool so it isn’t as busy as the other. Entertainment - we found this to be a bit disappointing compared to the previous year. When we first arrived the works were still ongoing (not that jet2 told us about this) and the entertainment was inside. You don’t come on holiday to sit inside and we felt it awfully warm the one night we tried so it just wasn’t worth it. With the euros being on we went out for a bit instead of sitting outside the entertainment. The second week it opened back up outside and again we enjoy the participation things like the quiz etc but not so much the people they get in to do it. Also a few nights the wind was terrible so we gave up sitting cold and went to the room to watch the football. We hired a car for a day and went up

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is right on the beach and has a great location; the sanitation service is very good and everything is clean; the dining and entertainment are also great; the facilities need to be improved, such as the curtains are old and not smooth, and the room card is too big to fit in your pocket when you go out for a run. Convenient, the size of the TV is about the same as the monitor; the biggest problem is that only the lobby has Wi-Fi and there is no Wi-Fi signal in the room, which is very incomprehensible.

GGuest UserThe complex is very clean and well looked after. The villas are lovely and spacious with great bathrooms. We are a family of 5 and stayed in a two story apartment. It was only cleaned once during our week stay so towels had to be re used but there was a washing machine.. we didn't go all inclusive as we like to venture out and you definitely need a car to do so as it's 20 minutes from the main town correlejo where the big supermarkets are. There is a smaller supermarket around 12 minutes drive though. The shop onsite is ridiculously expensive charging €8.88 for a packet of Doritos. I would say that having a car is essential for those who aren't all inclusive. We ate at the all inclusive restaurant one night as we didn't know that there was in fact another restaurant that's supposed to be great. It was €88 for all 5 of us but compared to the meals in the town, which were on average €100, it wasn't worth it. The pool snacks with all inclusive are sandwiches, crisps and peanuts but pizzas and hot dogs were charged. We loved the oven baked pizzas at €8-9 each. We had breakfast a few times which was €13 per person but cheaper for kids under 12. The breakfast selection was really good and all very tasty. Also it was buffet so you could help yourselves more than once. The pool facilities were excellent with life guards being very thorough. Making sure smaller kids could swim before going down the slides and a guard at each pool. The kids were definitely safe. The evening entertainment was good for kids and the staff were all very friendly working from morning until night. The pavements need redoing and the apartments are a little way from the facilities. The pool opens at 10 and there was a queue in the mornings but no one was short of loungers. Sometimes short of shade as there aren't many umbrellas dotted around. We actually tried to extend our stay, however the hotel had no availability. But we would stay again and we wouldn't go all inclusive. The car hire was definitely our best purchase and autoreisen was great for the price and no deposit required. It was very quick and easy once we had landed. There is a small beach we discovered which is behind the hotel complex but again we wouldn't want to walk there as it would take a while. We took a packed lunch as there are no shops but was so stunning. In correlejo there are numerous larger beaches with sun loungers and shops. Over all such a beautiful place and a great hotel. Definitely venture into correlejo and stay away from the pricy on site shop!

GGuest UserWe had a lovely family holiday at Tahona in November 2023. 5 adults and 3 very young children. I have travelled for 40 years and very often found reception staff were dismissive, not the boys at Tahona, the best reception team ever. It was so nice when my daughter and her family arrived and Alex gave them the most warm welcome. Andrea and Roman did their utmost to accommodate us and ensure we had the best experience too. We had the half board option and found plenty of choice for our meals, with drinks at meal times included. The children's pool was great for little ones, just a few inches deep and the 'children's corner' with chairs, colouring/ cones and a parachute. Provided daily. Having little ones, we did not go over to the bar area as it is around the pool but there seemed to be a really nice atmosphere, music, quizzes, water aerobics and lots of laughter that we watched from our balcony. There were what looked like massive building works outside the hotel, although this didn't affect us, as not a lot of work happened while we were there. It could be said that almost the whole resort is subject to these roadworks so its not just here. It just means that there are less close by parking spaces for the hire car. We stayed 4 years ago, I liked it then, the layout, the white and blue decor, the planting, the atmosphere, the location close to the resort, beach and sea front walk. I still like it. The rooms we had were comfortable, roomy with hot showers. No air con is not a problem during the 'winter'. Fans are supplied if you need them. For service and a friendly greeting you will find it hard to beat. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, very soon (later this week) 🙂
