Property is a little dated. Tv didn’t work properly had massive lines running through the picture, bed had a raised middle, staff was friendly and a nice breakfast!

Second visit to this restaurant, very well located with private parking at the door. The house is very well kept, everything is decorated simply but with great taste. For Valentine's Day, we chose different menus and everything was perfect between the presentation of the products and the quality of the food. It's very good and above all what should be hot is hot! You can take your time to appreciate the quality products of the kitchen surely a chef who masters the techniques of the trade. Attentive and smiling service. The next visit is already planned even if we travel 50 km to come. To recommend without hesitation. Excellent value for money.

Have known this hotel since my childhood: almost sixty years! Passing by every day (each time looking at the goldfish then in the small blue pool behind the gate) until I left for Laval then Rouen after the baccalaureate, then Varengeville-sur-mer near Dieppe after the final diploma. Always the same superb class of Hotel-Restaurant; there I came to recharge my batteries: see where I was born, my schools, the A. Paré high school, the Perrine garden, the Hec chapel, that of Montaigu, Fontaine Daniel, the towpath, a bath in Coco- beach at sunset, etc.The excellent lunch with the Elders of the La Beuvinière Cooperative this May 25: moving. We had lunch at the restaurant of this hotel (but no room reserved). The quality of the meal was impeccable, we had just what we needed on the plate with carefully crafted tastes, whether it was the starter, main course or dessert. All this for a very reasonable price. The service is on time and with a smile. In short, I often come to Mayenne and it's a shame I didn't know this address before. To recommend without hesitation.

Booked a one-night stay at Le Grand Hôtel de Mayenne as suggested by Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours in conjunction with SAHT's "Footsteps of Patton" tour in June 2032. The hotel is located in northwestern France and is part of the region of Pays de la Loire, about 30 km northeast of Mont St. Michel. My room was spacious, well-lit, and clean. The bed was comfortably firm, air temperature likewise was comfortable, and the room permitted open windows with screens. Not sure why there were no USB ports, and there was no evidence that the hotelier still supplied hand towels to guests who use the room's bathroom. Both seemed like an odd choice when cutting corners (presumably to save the hotel money). Otherwise, linen and towels were clean and in good supply. The bathroom was well-provisioned, well lit, and included a very nice towel warmer. There's a pretty steep step in order to get into the tub, but there's a well-placed hand-hold that made it safe for me to get in and out of the tub for showering. There's signage encouraging short showers - not a bad idea. The hotel continues to rely on single-use plastics in the room, something we can hope will change over time. All in all, however, I had no complaints about my stay at Le Grand Hôtel de Mayenne.
