Comfort Suites McAlester

This was an overnight stop on a long trip. The motel is ok, but needs TLC. The pool was out of order, the landscaping was overgrown with weeds, and the bathroom had a light bulb out. The breakfast was good. The desk clerk was courteous and helpful.

I am down here on a business trip in the middle of May. And I would like to give a shout out to Amanda at the front desk at the comfort Inn. And suites as she took care of all of my needs, me and my partner. Donnie are very pleased with what she has done and would recommend anybody to stay here.!!

FYI, according to some guests I met during breakfast, the renovation here has been going on for well over a year. Went with two sisters checking on ailing brother over Easter weekend. Trouble from the get/go in getting the room reserved for them with the roll in shower. Friday night clerk was NOT knowledgeable about even having such a room. Their room had no phone dial tone as well as no TV service and very weak to non existent internet WIFI. Same problems with my room. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, heating/air units worked well. Breakfast first day was handled by staff well, second day waffle maker not powered on, orange juice not put out, coffees were not all out and the ones that were were warm, NOT hot. Neither side of four slice toaster worked correctly. Ice maker on first floor broken, had to use the ones on 2nd or 3rd floor. Day clerk was knowledgeable and courteous, evening staff not so much. Refrigerator in my room had such a buildup of frost it had broken ice cube area door. This property was not up to Choice Hotel standards, and as a former Comfort Inn Manager, I can say that with authority.

The awful & unsanitary outdoor pool conditions should speak for itself with all the mold, muddy water, and debis Spend your money elsewhere. The "...under renovation..." sign posted is a total joke and clearly an attempt to excuse how terrible shape this place is in. Front desk do not take calls and if you dont believe me, try to call yourself and press option #2 and see if you get a clerk, manager, housekeeper... ANYBODY. From ALL of the entry points being unsecured and not working, to the VERY dark lighting in the hallways, and beyond the shoddy patch jobs that some handyman has done; evidently the ownership has chosen not to invest in any type of upkeep whatsoever. Absolutely no landscaping. Walls throughout show age and filth with holes in the walls among the stairways. Most who stay are contractors/workers just passing through on the job. But even they realize that this is certainly usual to say the least. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

I always like staying here, the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Shower leaked, beds were uncomfortable and heard traffic from the highway all night.

Very COMFORTABLE bed and room, outside parking lot and sidewalk was "crumbly"....good price, the morning egg, sausage, cheese roll was very good.

Room was nasty dirty trash behind the night stand blood on the bathroom walls AC unit didn’t want to work and was very loud, shower and tub was in horrible shape. Carpet stained, elevator was disgusting. Whole place was in poor condition

The front desk and breakfast attendant were very welcoming and provided great customer service! They even allowed us an early checkin. Comfortable bed and linens too. Our family had a great stay!
