As always my stay was amazing. I love the lodge, yes its a bit outdated but i find that to be part if its character. Always clean, the amenities all work as they should. Rates can't be beat for the location beinf within 20 mins of all rhe tourists spots. The best paer of the lodge is the staff been the same since i first found the lodge. They're all friendly, helpful, and make you feel right at home! They even got hair jokes on windy days...lol The lodge is my #1 pick whenever i travel that way!!

Being I was delayed from another flight, this layover had me taking a 9pm flight from Detroit. Since I arrived to Pellston at 10:15pm, this Lodge was literally about an 1/8 mile walk down the road. No shuttles or Uber to get me to my next destination. I paid a $190 walk-in rate and you can see the pictures to judge for yourself: It was 47 degrees outside and when I arrived to the room, the A/C was on high. I was given a 1st floor room overlooking the parking lot. I found the pillow cases without any pillow covers and the sheets didn't look clean, so I slept in my clothes on top of the bed. Shower head was disgusting. I showered with a towel on the tub floor. Toilet was already clogged before I had used it. Early morning hallway noise. No continental breakfast at least for this rate. Woke up the next morning and ran away (bus shuttle) from this place. Stay away!

Rooms were a little dated and things like outlets for cell phones weren't present but very clean. I found it odd that my TV was unplugged and had to crawl behind it to plug it in. Otherwise it's more than adequate for the price.

It's a nice rustic lodge that makes you feel home. Unfortunately it snells of cigarette smoke on the hallway.
