This establishment is off the beaten track but only by a few miles. It is worth the effort to find it but book in advance! It is adorable. It is charming. It is even better than I had envisaged and seen from the website. A day or so before our one night stay, I received a text from our host, Sylvain, asking if we would like to eat in the evening? We replied: Oui! This turned out to be a Prix Fixe meal which was taken outside with all the other guests and the proprietor himself making serving and eating with us. It began with amusee bouche and fine wines. We then ate duck and had more fine wines and a dessert. Conversation was translated via Sylvain. Even the jokes. It was a fun relaxing evening al fresco. The property itself is remarkable. Our room was the African Room. There are only 5 rooms but they are all unique and very comfortable. B&B costs us only £116 for one night, 2 adults. Dinner was an extra £35 per head including all drinks! Parking is secure in a part of the garden behind an electric gate. The gardens are superb with an outdoor swimming pool and a summer house and stables with beautiful horses and donkeys. Sylvain runs a tight ship employing family members and he is a super character with many a true tale to tell of his life's experiences. His standards of excellence are second to none.
