I cannot rate the treatment of the staff more than excellent. I had health problems and they were very close and attentive. The location within Mechelen is good and the facilities meet the needs that I personally demanded. I deducted one point in the cleanliness rating for the use of carpet, not because it was dirty, far from it, cleanliness deserves a 5 too but I know that it is vitally important for people with allergies and other impediments with it. I highly recommend especially for the service and staff. I would repeat without a doubt.

Na een incheck voor 2 nachten met volgens mij teveel vragen, of we onze kamer wilden laten poetsen of we propere handoeken wensten enz... Verbleven we in een propere compacte kamer, ideaal voor een kort verblijf. Ontbijt was zeer lekker en kraakvers. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Locatie met grote markt achter de hoek is perfect! Als parking raad ik de indigo parking op de veemarkt aan, want als de hotelparking vol is moet je helemaal rond mechelen rijden om in de andere parking te geraken. Kortom genoten van dit hotel.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and have everything you need, you have the choice between two kinds of pillows and there is a coffee/tea maker. Nice bar and lobby area. Breakfast is okay! I did think the room price was pretty expensive for just a regular chain hotel, though.

Hotel in pieno centro storico e quindi molto comodo per una visita. La struttura è accettabile ma il servizio è certamente molto basic: bar praticamente inutilizzabile, un solo assuntore alla reception con conseguenti tempi lunghi. Aggiungo garage che costa quasi come una camera…. Un po’ esagerato!

We stayed here for one night on the way to The Netherlands, using our IHG points. We received a call on the way to check out room status (cannot be 100% sure of the lady’s name, but think it was Natasha). On arrival we were greeted by Femke. She was extremely helpful, giving us maps and directions/advice on places to visit. When we got to our room we were greeted with a lovely welcome message on the mirror and a little hamper, containing crisps, sweets, chocolates and a bottle of local beer (I think because I’m a platinum elite member). We didn’t eat in the restaurant (other than breakfast) but we did enjoy a drink in the bar. The hotel is very central with its own underground parking. The only negative was that the air conditioning in the entire hotel was broken. Femke apologised about this on check in, explaining the engineer had needed to order a part. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with excellent customer service from start to finish.
