Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Memphis

Not worth the premium price. Tired hotel in need of updating. Duck show is a joke. Came down from our room almost an hour prior to 5:00 and couldn't get a seat so we waited at lobby bar to get a drink for 20 minutes only to be finally told you have to go to the back corner of the bar and stand in a line to get a drink. Then you have to stand outside of the bar area to watch. The manager escorts you out of area saying that everyone will be seated during the show so you will be able to see the show, but then does zero crowd control to enforce this policy so once the show started all of the patrons in the bar stood up to take pictures and get closer, so we saw nothing. What a waste of time and money. I told the manager the issue and he said he has trouble controlling the crowd. He obviously had poor people management skills. The following morning when we checked out, we opened our door and were overwhelmed with a stench of vaping odor in the hallway. Self-park at your own risk. There is no security in the parking deck other than a robot. The parking deck is filthy. As I walked the bridge to the parking deck, I saw a Memphis cop walking over to a car pulled over with the horn blaring. Looked like someone was in the car slumped over the wheel. The day prior we were looking out hotel window and a guy was walking in the street charging at oncoming cars until a cop came.

Guest House was beautiful. It felt as if I was walking into a movie scene. Very beautiful place. They have a movie theater with free Elvis movies each night, food was excellent and service was superb. Location is great and very secure. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel location wasn't bad. Loved the Elvis homage.... room wasn't the cleanest, bathroom and walls could use a good clean and paint job. Didn't have breakfast. So I can't say much. But for the price I paid, I can't complain. Don't mind going back there.

The location is very good, the surrounding environment is good, quiet, the top floor observation deck is very good, you can look at the Mississippi River, you can see the bridge marked 'M'. The hotel room is ok, but we live in a suite with an outdoor deck that can go out and enjoy the exterior. The terrace is large and connected to the next room. There is no problem with security. All the platforms need to be swiped before they can enter. There are leisure sofas on the platform, but there are more dust on the sofa and coffee table and the ground, as well as spider webs. The hotel is located in a large outdoor goods store. The interior decoration is very special. Some real animal specimens, birds, deer, etc. can be seen everywhere. There are also some introductions to the origin of the hotel, which is very story-like. I like to enjoy life in the American country. There is also a battlefield in the mall. There are guns and ammunition on the second floor. In short, to travel to Memphis, this is a place worth living.

Location was fantastic - close to River park access and street car line. Room was spacious and clean. Shower was good for tall people and had adequate pressure to rinse shampoo from hair. Best thing about this hotel was the staff. So friendly, so helpful.

The most lively Bell Street in Memphis is also the safest place, and the Westin Hotel is next to Bell Street. The hotel offers valet parking for a fee, which is reasonable. For others, please see the picture, the home court of the Grizzlies is next to it.

The prices for Downtown Memphis hotels were really high and at around £150, this appeared one of the better 'budget' options. We were not disappointed and will not hesitate to stay here again. Free parking (probably the only downtown hotel to offer this) which was gated and secure. The hotel itself was very modern, with fantastic Memphis photos covering the lobby walls. The room itself was much larger than expected, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was typical budget options but was included in the price and more than adequate. The hotel is on Union and within a 5 to 10-minute walk is Beale St, Peabody, and other Downtown attractions. The only fault we found was the windows are not very sound-proofed and the bikes leaving Beale St on the Wednesday night were very loud at the lights outside the hotel - but that is a minor qualm as it is only on Wednesday this occurs - and the bikes were louder than average bikes.
