Fairfield Inn & Suites Memphis I-240 & Perkins

the room I suppose to have they gave it to someone else than when the people in my party check in for their room they got their room we suppose to have but they ended haven't to check out of it cause it was nasty and dirty

When we entered the parking lot I noticed a security gate. I was beginning to wonder what we were getting ourselves into by staying here. So while I was checking into the hotel. I was greeted by two people. He looked me up by my name up, and i was congratulated of my elite status with Marriott.. After I was given a room, I asked for the 4th floor and asked for a upgrade as eell. I was accompanied with a nice room. The workout room was nice. But I was very disappointed when I saw the pool out of commission. And it appears to be a while. So I left my trunks packed. I which I knew that before booking this hotel Breakfast was decent typical. Normal type of people who stay there

I such and amazing stay the hotel was nice clean the staff was amazing when I come back in town I will definitely stay here because I was so at home and the staff was helpful and sweet to us so yes yes yes I will be back

Our first room had wet carpet near the air conditioner and it was not working well - 62 degrees and it was still warm in the room. We tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. We were switched to another room and the next morning found there was no hot water - again tried to call and the phone in this room did not work. We have been Marriott members for years and have never seen anything like this. When we asked at the front desk about the hot water, they knew about it. Contacted the member services and ask to be comped our room.

Positives: Near the University of Memphis. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Negatives: Not the greatest surrounding area. View of overflowing trash dumpsters. The pool is closed off and the outdoor seating area is nonexistent. The rooms have seen better days. Would not recommend.

Doesn’t seem to be a great area. The room was very dingy. There was a hair on the bed, the sink didn’t drain and was not clean. I would not stay here again. It was very disappointing as I expect more from Marriott. The person at the desk was nice. Breakfast was as usual.

I booked this hotel through the Marriott app and unfortunately did not read the reviews, this hotel does not meet Marriott expectations! It’s very run down, not good neighborhood, it doesn’t feel safe at all and the rooms are horrible! Stains everywhere, shower curtains have stains as well, it’s so disgusting! I regret booking here! Wish I can get my money back! I tried to cancel and they said that my reservation was a prepay and non-refundable. Horrible place!

Once you get inside this Fairfield Inn it’s okay. Driving to it was worrisome, because the neighborhood it’s in is really sketchy! We passed a boarded up Wal-Mart, what looked like a burned out multi-story Marriott hotel, a broken down semi-truck and huge potholes in the road leading into the parking lot! We almost didn’t do inside! The young woman at the reception desk was pleasant and helpful. The room was fine for our one night stay on our road trip. The room wasn’t very clean. The floor and most of the room’s surfaces needed a good cleaning! Renovations to the room must have gone to the lowest bidder, because paint was smeared all over the trim, doors and ceilings. The bathroom hardware wasn’t installed correctly, so it was loose. The breakfast, however, was great! There was a nice selection of hot and cold items along with juice, yogurt and milk. James was working hard to keep everything fresh and stocked. Overall, our stay was fine. But, be aware that the neighborhood is not the greatest.
