The location is great and convenient to all the downtown happenings. The hotel staff were rude, unhelpful and to top it all off the air conditioning was out our entire stay. I asked to be moved to a different room to which the answer was no. Asked do they have fans for situations like this they said no. PLUS they charge my card twice for the room

The hotel is located on the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis. You can walk a few steps from the door to the bridge to the island, and it takes only ten minutes to walk to Beale Street. The Sheraton building is quite conspicuous and can be seen from a distance, so you don't have to worry about getting lost when you go out. The room is clean and tidy, and you can enjoy the river view and the pyramids by the large glass window.

This hotel is old and has no advantages except that it is close to the exhibition center.

Best thing about this hotel is friendly staff and location. Restaurant is small and expensive with poor service. There is a "gift shop" where you can buy $5 sodas and bottles of water. Room was fine, but the feeling we got was that this hotel was trying to squeeze every cent out of you they can while you are there . By the way, you must valet park and that is $35 a day.

Frederick Bessie Janelle Grace Beverly and The doormen Billy Mary and the restaurant men are true jewels. The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations, too.

I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel this week. I knew upfront the property was rebranding from Sheraton to Marriott, currently calling itself Riverline. What I didn’t know is there are absolutely no standards during this transition. Being a top tier Marriott member, I usually get treated pretty well. I’ve been treated better at the DMV. The three women at the check-in acted like I was imposing on their break when I asked to check in. The first room given did not have working AC. I called the desk and whoever answered the phone said to come back to the desk and they’d put me in another room. I went to the desk and told the person there (not the person I talked to on the phone) the situation. She looked at her computer, handed me a key, the end. Not “I’m sorry for the inconvenience”, not so much as a by your leave, sir. The AC in the next room worked, but the unit said 66 when it was about 72. The unit does not go lower than 66, but at least it’s working somewhat. Next, none of my devices would connect to the internet. They said they were connected, but no internet. I called the desk and asked for tech support. At other properties when there are tech issues, I usually get transferred to a third party vendor who fixes the issue. The guy at the desk said he would send someone right up. I’m still waiting for that someone. Next, as I’m walking around the hotel, I notice how many of the ceiling tiles are stained, like there has been a massive leak, on multiple floors. They must not have started renovations yet as floors, walls, elevators looked dingy. Some road noise overnight, but not too bad considering how close to the highway it is. As I begin to take my shower in the morning, things just get worse. There is almost no water pressure. After I’m in, I look at the grout, which looks moldy. After my shower, I look back in the tub and there is a clump of long hair. I do not have long hair so I immediately felt like I needed another shower, but not in there. Called the valet to have my car brought around. No one answers. Go to the valet, give him the key, and he begins searching for my car. When I say searching, I mean he went in the garage first. When he didn’t find it there, he searched the surface lot. Finally found it and I’m off, never to return. I expect more from a Marriott property, no matter the brand. I expect more for $300 a night. My advice is to steer clear of this property.

Pretty basic hotel. Quite. Nice that it's downtown and connected to the convention center. Employees were friendly and room was clean. You are immediately hounded by homeless when stepping outside, feeling unsafe. Very weak water pressure.

Awful place, my room was very dated with stains on the carpet. Couldn't see through the windows as the glass had failed and full of fog. Very dusty and pictures were thick with dust, I'd hate to pull the bed out as the carpet needs replacing so god knows what's behind the dusty bed. I would not recommend this place as it's full of homeless people begging for money and nowhere around the hotel not open. There's no food or drink till 5pm, very expensive 16 dollars for a glass of wine. Poor service. Stay clear of this place it's like ghost town, hardly anyone in the hotel. Awful place, awful experience.
