Cozy lovely place to stay! I found this second floor of the water tower such a unique and well appointed little spot - it truly feels like a tree house stay! Perfect for the solo traveler or a couple. I would absolutely stay again. The word burning fireplace was lovely - they provide a log for each night so I popped it in before I fell asleep and it was just perfect

We stayed at The Joshua Grindle Inn In Mendocino for one night during our trip around Northern California and Oregon, we wished we could have stayed longer but we were on a tight schedule. After a long drive from Trinidad and through the Avenue of the Giants we arrived during in the afternoon. We were warmly greeted by the owner who gave us a brief history of the Inn. He then showed us to our room The Library. Our room had everything we needed. Mendocino is a beautiful place with a rugged coastline. There are plenty of places to eat. We enjoyed our breakfast which included home made banana bread and lovely scones. A wonderful place to stay.

This B&B is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. We could spot the ocean from our second-floor room, the bed was comfortable, and the fireplace came with a 4-hour firelog. Plus, it was an easy 2-block walk into town. I highly recommend staying here!

Very gracious service all around,. This is a historic inn, very well kept, very clean and welcoming! Continental breakfast was very good (hard boiled eggs on request!) - the PCH is very close by, but one does not really hear it at all. A lovely stay.

This bed and breakfast was adorable! The property was beautiful with great views. The location was the perfect walking distance to downtown mendocino. We stayed in the treeview room and it was so cute and spacious with all the amenities we needed in the room. Breakfast was delicious and the homemade scones were by far my favorite part. Breakfast included a beautiful assortment of fresh cut fruits, delicious homemade scones and homemade granola, yogurts and juices. The innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

Been going here for years and years. We love the quiet, the tasty breakfasts and the delightful couple working their tails off to keep it all in order! Location at edge of town just right. Lovely for walking and exploring the area. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at Joshua Grindle Inn on three occasions. Each year, we stay in a different room. Looking forward to see what the next room will be! Easy to walk to restaurants, grocery store, cafes, and headlands but tucked away from the main drag of the town. Breakfast is simple and delicious. Great way to start the day.

A friend and I stayed in the cottage rooms, north and south. Everything was delightful, the rooms were large and impeccably clean, the bathrobes were cozy, and the scones were to die for -- freshly baked each morning. Mendocino is a very walkable town with many cute shops and galleries. Fort Bragg is an easy drive away and the rail bikes are a hoot.

This place is amazing! All clean, comfortable bed, clean bathrooms,cozy parlor, beautiful garden. So quiet! And close to the ocean. Delicious breakfast, all homemade. Our gratitude to the owners Ken and Kate, Melissa and everyone who keeps this place so welcoming and special. Will visit again! Best, Sven and Inessa( we stayed in Library room)
