Villa Merida

Our stay at Villa Mérida was truly exceptional. The hotel itself is stunning—a beautiful, quiet oasis that perfectly captures the charm of Mérida. The hospitality was impeccable, and the Hotel Manager was wonderfully friendly and always went above and beyond to help us with every inquiry. We highly recommend this magnificent place!

As a solo traveler, I am often anxious when visiting a new city. Villa Mérida Boutique Hotel made me feel safe and comfortable for my entire stay. The host Batiste was extremely helpful and attentive. He texted via WhatsApp before my check in to make sure he would be ready to receive me as soon as I arrived and provided all the information needed to make my arrival to the hotel worry free. When I arrived, he had already checked me in with the card I had on file when I booked, so there was nothing left to do but have an espresso (available 24hrs in the communal kitchen) and show me to my room. If ever I had any questions or needed any assistance, Batiste was able to help me or answer my questions right away throughout my stay. There are also several services that the host will arrange for you at very reasonable prices, including massage, nail service, and laundry. I put out my laundry in the morning before I left the hotel and it was done and waiting for me when I got back in the afternoon. The whole staff including two resident cats took such good care of the hotel and guests making it a place I was looking forward to coming home to each day. I ended up having to change my reservation to fly home a day sooner than I had originally booked. Even though my card had already been charged for 4 nights before I arrived at the hotel, it was no problem for them to issue me a refund for the last day. On my last day, I texted the host asking if he could print the tickets for my flight and he delivered them to my room in 5 minutes. I had an afternoon flight, but I didn’t need to rush to check out early and I was able to enjoy the courtyards and amenities up until I needed to leave (only 15 minutes drive away from the airport). Side note: they are currently in the process of building a gym, which I totally would have taken advantage of if it were ready. The equipment is all there, but not set up yet. With only 9 rooms available, I felt like I had the whole place to myself, and what an incredibly beautiful place it was! Batiste was so easy going and I felt like I was getting 5 star service from check in to check out (which was just a text goodbye). 10/10 would recommend. It would also be a gorgeous venue for a wedding, which they do host.

Beautiful Hacienda style boutique hotel. Close to what Merida has to offer. Comfortable room and bed. Lovely courtyard and pool area.
