Bellissimo B&B davvero a due passi dal mare ed immerso nel verde. Gestore davvero attento, cortese e super disponibile a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Le stanze sono silenziose, pulitissime, perfette, dotate sia di condizionatore che di semplice ventilatore, il bagno grande e completo di tutto l’occorrente. Colazione ottima ed abbondante. Stupendo il cortile/giardino con la possibilità di sedersi e godersi il fresco della sera. È stata una bellissima esperienza, grazie davvero di tutto, torneremo di sicuro!

I am probably not the kind of guest that this hotel normally caters to. It is a decent enough hotel with small and clean rooms with all the usual amenities. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown after the previous hotel I stayed at but not bad at all, just less varied. There is a small seating area in front of the hotel, which was nice. It is possibly a good choice for somebody with own transportation.

We stayed here for 3 nights and primarily chose this property on the proximity to Bari Centrale. We were a party of 3 so wanted a little extra room. We were greeted by Claudia who was super friendly and helpful. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The apartments are large, clean and modern. The rooftop area is also great to relax. The morning breakfast was also excellent. It's approx a 10 min walk to Bari Vecchia. We recommend this to families and anyone wanting an apartment stay.

The bb is located in a beautiful gentleman palace, well maintained in the centre. The room was wide and comfortable. I just advised to put new anti-slide on the steps leading to the shower, for greater safety. As a further advice, perhaps more important, is to put double glasses in the windows, to insonorize the room, because it feels all the night movement and the subsequent cleaning of the early hours of the morning. We found this baby accidentally I have to say we found very good. That kind boy who answered us at the phone and then welcomed us at our arrival. Extremely spacious room is very clean. Super breakfast made in the bar under Jerome with cappuccino and scream flirts 😋. Also very comfortable because the conventional parking 2 minutes walk is perfect. It will be our first choice when we come back to Bari. The only advice I give to the property is to have an additional eye on the maintenance and use of things in the room but really simple things. It’s a clean and well organised place with high ceiling rooms that are pretty inviting. Check in works via a link and requires a mobile internet connection for the first check in. That works well if you have a SIM card with internet access if not, then you should plan for it. We had a two room apartment for three people. The smaller room was a walk through to get to the bathroom. The bathroom looks newly renovated and was clean. The door is foldable though and very thin. The kitchen us shared with others and has some basic utensils (not for big cooking). The location is quite and rather central. So you get to the old part of town in ca 10 minutes and the central train station in 15 minutes.

From the first moment, the check in, then entering the room, everything was perfect. Cool, clean and quiet. There is a busy road outside but the sound insulation prevented any disturbance. The breakfast on the roof was superb. The restaurant was good. I am not convinced everything was made fresh to order, but what we had was very satisfactory and the staff were professional and friendly. You need a car to use this hotel. Its a bit isolated. The nearby town of Torre da Mare is not really of interest. I thought it was dirty compared with other places we had visited in Puglia. The hotel itself is excellent. Stayed three nights: we slept well and I would go there again.

CChristutiGreat and spacious room and bathroom. Areas very well kept and clean. The manager/person in charge was very courteous and attentive, allowed us to check-in later and helped us throughout the process with chat and video. He was always a message/phone call away and responded rather quickly. Located perfectly and just walking distance of supermarket, pharmacy, coffee house, stores and places to eat. Plus just a short drive away from amazing places to visit. Would definitely recommend and consider booking again when I’m back in the area.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers good accommodation, large bedroom equipped with a fridge ( water is free) and a good size shower. The bedding is of good quality. There are 2 pillows( one soft, one firm) I appreciated that. There is a large screen TV. The view over the city is nice. The place is very clean. The only draw back is the lack of packing shelves etc… Breakfast is great. Nice choice of food and excellent coffee. The restaurant is open at night only. The buffet has a range of greens, veges etc… lovely. The service was always friendly. If you don’t have a car, town is at a distance and you will have to take a taxi.

GGuest UserReally enjoyed my experience at the Olive Tree in comparison to the other hostels I have visited in Italy. The staff are really friendly and helpful with knowledge on day-trips away from Bari and how to use the public transportation to get to a location. What I found really nice is that the would talk you through what each place was like, rather than refering to a QR code which other hostels now seem to prefer. Beds, bathroom and kitchen was clean - and there was also a lovely terrace outside. Good location to access public transport as well as getting into Old and New Town.

MMehmetBooked two deluxe rooms (one for single pax and the other for two pax) but was given two rooms of different sizes instead - not very impressed to say the least!
Room decor has seen its better days to be honest! Plastic tables and chairs in the room for a 4-star property are pure cheapskates!
Air conditioning still hasn’t been switched back on in late April when temperature already reaching low 20 Celsius! Had to stay and sleep in the room with window shut because of noisy disco noises nearby lasting beyond 2 am in the wee hours of Sunday morning ! Got ‘roasted and baked’ in the room with no ventilation as a result - not very ideal when covid is still raging!
Still couldn’t understand why the hotel still insists on ‘no self-service’ for buffet breakfast - apparently in the name of covid! ‘Accidentally’ tried to pick up some breakfast items by myself on arrival as there was no sign on display stating the not-so-obvious ‘no self-service’ policy but was told off by one of 2 staff members on duty with plate being ‘snatched’ from my hands! The paradox being this practice caused long queue with only 2 staff members available to pick and dish out items for guests! Long queue and mass gathering of guests would not spread covid but picking up your own food with disinfected hands would apparently! Few ironic observations made though! The two specific staff members on food picking duty didn’t wear gloves at all when picking food with thongs for guests - is that even covid-safe??? One of the two members on that specific food picking duty went on to pick food for guests after clearing and cleaning up table with bare hands and then went over to do their food picking duty for other guests without washing or disinfecting their hands - covid safe I fear not??? If insisting on ‘no self-service’ policy, make sure you have sufficient staff to handle constant stream of guests coming in for breakfast! I was certainly being put off by either long queue or absent staff to help pick the food I wanted!

GGuest UserGreat hotel in the heart of Bari. The train station is one step away from where you can travel anywhere. The staff is kind and helpful. The room is cultured, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is great although we only had breakfast. I don't give 5 points for one reason. The air conditioner in the room is very cold, it cannot be setup, we switched it to warmer and after a few seconds it returned to the original temperature. The location of the hotel is not in the best neighborhood. This massive city center with all its peculiarities. Like dirt, dog excrement on the street, graffiti and suspicious figures. However, the transport is very good from here to wherever you go.

GginabinksWe have just returned from Riva after 7 nights. We stayed in a self catering apartment. There is no kettle or toaster. Boiling water on the stove but no grill pan as an alternative for making toast. We realised as soon as we arrived its in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing at all within walking distance. They asked were we hiring a car (around €250 for 3 days) but i declined as driving to Bari & back of an evening meant i couldnt have a drink. I go away to relax with a cocktail not drive everywhere :) The bus to giovinazza is 10-15 mins we had to do this when we needed a shop for bread/milk/water etc. The bus to Bari is 30 mins we had to do this each night to go out for our evening meal & drinks. There is an onsite pizzeria & restaurant which serves only fish. The hotel is lovely staff friendly & helpful (mostly) and the private beach made up for the fact it was so remote. It is stunning so we went to the beach each day (€5 each per day) We tried to go to the pool on day one but the lifeguard took our temperature (covid 19) and said “uh oh!” Apparently it was too high (also 30 degree sunshine) so we couldnt sit by the pool!! .. yet we went to the beach every day where our temperature wasnt high once. Mmm?? Prices in the hotel are very reasonable for food & drink. Fresh fruit & the berry slushes are gorgeous!! Overall we had a lovely stay but sadly its location is too far out having to get the bus every night also the last one at 10pm so couldnt enjoy our evening & stay out got a little tedious and would prevent me from going back again.

GGuest UserI never review anything on the internet, but I made a trip advisor account just to make sure people knew about how awful this place was. We booked this place in the hopes of getting a rustic, charming experience but what we got was far from that. We stayed here after getting off the ferry from Dubrovnik on our way to Napoli. This was by far the worst travel experience we’ve ever had. Location - 1/5 The first thing to note is that this hotel is NOT in Bari. There are no Ubers and the taxi into town costs €30 every time. You’re far from everything and it feels more like a neighborhood hotel not meant for travelers. Rooms - 2/5 The actual hotel is converted from a fort of some kind. Our room was in what used to be a closet and had cumbersome lock. The beds were insanely hard. Even with great AC (the one good thing here), we got very poor sleep because of the mattresses. The shower smelled weird and was tiny. I could barely move my arms in there to clean my body. The room we were stayed in was a faraday cage and blocked all cellular service AND the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Service - 0/5 The staff acted like they were doing you a favor when you asked them for anything. When we asked about the Wi-Fi situation, they told us there was nothing they could do and couldn’t switch rooms. That’s it. The staff seemed irritated every time we asked them to call us a taxi - remember there are no Ubers or other forms of transport nearby. If you’re used to any form of service at hotels don’t expect that here. Breakfast - 1/5 The breakfast was truly the saddest I’ve ever had anywhere. Just some cold, unappetizing meats and baked goods. Really low effort here. At least it was included in the price so there’s that to be thankful for. Overall, I would say this place is one to avoid if you want a good experience. We couldn’t get out of the place quickly enough. Bari itself is charming and well worth seeing. I would say you’re better off staying at a hostel in the actual city over this terrible hotel. This hotel gave me a new low to compare every other place too.

GGuest UserBy far the best aspect of staying here is the host Ylenia who contacted us the day before our arrival with tips on where to park and was waiting for us. Nothing is ever too much trouble for this lovely young lady whose command of English is excellent. The location of the B & B is excellent. Close to the sea within a lovely old part of the town which seems to have been recently regenerated. The rooftop terrace is great with sea views and an outdoor shower. We were able to find free parking a 5 minute walk away. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special and we were woken by the sounds of it being set up each morning. Unfortunately, other aspects of the property let it down. As soon as you enter you can smell the damp. The smell is strongest in the breakfast room in the basement, which has a dehumidifier and pink mould on the stone walls. Our room ”Sabbia” on the ground floor also had damp issues and as reviews I have read suggest, nothing seems to have been done to properly address the issue. Peeling paint around the tiny window and in the corner of the room. There was also black mould around the base of the shower which could quite easily have been cleaned off. We also found a previous guest's toenail clipping on the bathroom floor and the area beneath the bed hadn't been cleaned in a while. The tiny bedroom window and bathroom window both opened onto the street. There is a restaurant directly outside the ground floor so no privacy with them open and with zero light and very little ventilation it is no wonder that there is a damp issue. This would also feel claustrophobic for some people. Anyone with asthma or allergies would be wise to avoid this property. We only stayed 2 nights but we discussed these issues with other guests who were experiencing the same as us. I would not recommend staying here until the issues with the damp are rectified.
