Montespina Park Hotel

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights over the long weekend of April 25th. Beautiful structure, surrounded by greenery in the city center. It has a nice, quiet and large free car park. Very close to the Mostra d'Oltremare. Excellent quality breakfast, plenty of sweet and savory options. We had dinner one evening in the hotel and the dinner turned out to be a delicious surprise, including the limoncello they produced! Large room with external courtyard. Very attentive and courteous staff! We will gladly return!

We had booked a superior double room for 4 nights. The room we were allocated was about 400 steps away from the main building in a park with interconnected bungalows. It was impossible to walk far, especially when it was raining! The room had its own terrace which was unkempt and was not swept on any of the days of our stay. The little space in the wardrobe was used for extra bedding. The bathroom was in a bad state. The faucet strainer was so calcified that the water jet could only be pushed out with great effort. The shower hose was leaking. It is a mystery to me that the cleaner who looks after the room did not pass on information about the damage. The room was supposed to have a kettle and coffee in the room. We were only provided with the items after we asked. Refilling the instant coffee on the following days only worked after further complaints. We also wanted drinking glasses (there is a full minibar), but we were initially refused this, as the disposable plastic cups in the room were intended for this. The walls are so thin that they collapse when filled and are really not suitable for this purpose. A large television is mounted on the wall. There are no German-language channels. The hotel complex and the hotel are getting old and you can tell that not much has been invested in their renovation. The dining room/breakfast room was impersonal and the breakfast was mediocre for a ++++ star hotel. The service staff were attentive and helpful. We only had breakfast there (because we had booked). We would have liked to have had dinner there too, but being the only guests in this "dining room" put us off. Our tip for a good dinner would be the restaurant "Rinomato Cucina & Sapori" just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Our conclusion for the hotel is that it needs renovation, the price/performance ratio is not right and it is more of a ++++ star hotel. We cannot recommend it.

4 star hotel near the stadium… Excellent location being a stone's throw from the ring road. Spacious and fairly clean rooms, decent breakfast with improvable products. Good quality/price. Private parking space. Polite and friendly staff.
