We loved our stay at The Inn Castledawson. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, our room was quiet and clean with a beautiful river view and the food in the restaurant was top quality and included a good range of vegetarian options.

Lovely staff who would go above and beyond to help out. The hotel had a Gorgeous view backing out on to a river which could also be seen from hotel restaurant through a floor to ceiling arched window. This hotel really was a great find and like I said the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning when I’m next in Ireland!

Room is ok for a one night stay, bed really low to the ground and TV is really small. Bathroom has a tiny sink and a spilt mirror so i could only see half my face unless i bent down or stood on my toes. Staff were friendly and breakfast was gorgeous.

We had a super stay at the CDI. Cieran and his crew could not have looked after us better. Our room had a lovely view of the River Moyola as did the dining room. The food was well presented and tasty. We were able to explore the delights of the Causeway Coastal Route as well Belfast and the beautiful historic houses and gardens in the surrounding area.

Was here on Saturday night and was actually left speechless and horrified by the food and the service in this place! Lovely situation and decor but that's were the positive points end! I can not believe this place is getting any business ( well on a Saturday night there was only 4 other people there apart from my group) Would not go back here if the food was free !

We had our staff meal here in December 2012. I have to say that it was the worst meal I have ever had. I had tasteless scallops to start with followed by raw duck served with a minuscule portion of rice. When I complained about the side order I was told "it was quality, not quantity". I'm afraid I got neither. I had the flaming baked Alaska to finish which was beyond awful. The waiter used too much alcohol and it really did go up in flames! All that was left was a charred mess and NO ice cream! We complained and were served a distinctly average sticky toffee pudding. As it was a staff do, I did not complain but did write a letter the following week. After two attempts at communication I have given up and did state that I would put a truthful review of my experiences on this site. My advice is go nowhere near this restaurant!

Completely dissatisfied with food last night. We would regard ourselves as regular customers to the The-inn Castledawson . I must say after the food my wife and I were served last night, and the attitude of the owner when I complained, that we will never darken the door if this place again. I now understand why we could not get a reservation in church street Magherafelt . We walked into The Inn and its almost empty.!!!!! No wonder the good old saying "you get out what you put in". It obviously makes perfect sense!!!!!
