The staff was friendly, at least most of them. Amanda was great, she was always willing to help us & with a big smile. We didn't like the TV & always having to push the input button, then go over to HMI 1 to make it work everytime. The beds were comfortable, room was big, bathroom was average. Didn't like that they only came in once every other day to give you fresh towels and empty the trash, but never vacuumed the carpet, which it needed & didn't even make the beds. We probably won't be back, too far from Shipshewana. If you needed to take something back to the room, it was too far to keeping running back and forth, especially if we needed to take something to the fridge.

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn for one night when we were in town to see our great nephew in a play. We were not there most of Saturday evening. We got back to the hotel after the show, took showers and went to bed. The next morning, we went down to breakfast, which was probably one of the worst free breakfast's I have been to. I tried their scrambled eggs and gravy/biscuits and ended up throwing them into the trash.(I am not a picky eater). I did eat a bagel with cream cheese which was ok. When we went back to the room to pack up and leave, I found a bug on my pillow. We took a picture of it on my husband's phone and left. At the desk we informed the desk clerk and showed her the picture. She said there was no manager there and we would get a call the next day. It has been 3 days and still no call. We have called them every day and they tell us there is no manager there, but we will get a call back. We actually weren't sure what the bug was, we are not familiar with them so sent the picture to a local pest company and were told it was a bed bug. We are taking many precautions and were quite stressed out about this. I wouldn't stay here unless you knew for sure they have taken care of the issue.

The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. The tv had issues (Every time you shut it off, you had to push the input button) the food for breakfast wasn’t hot. Washer and Dryer didn’t work. We were supposed to have a handicap room and it was on the third floor. It had a tub that I had to lift my legs in to get a shower.

ADA room was very wheelchair accessible and large. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The ADA parking spots were very small and tight. Also 2 of the ADA spot were on a slope that allowed for my wheelchair to roll away from the car. Breakfast was nice and simple.

Middlebury is a very plesant community. The hotel was genuinely clean a few things here and there could have been cleaner. Where's the vending machines?, they didnt have any. I didnt like the large shampoo/conditioner and lotion bottles attached to the walls in the bathrooms. Anyone can put anything in there!. We are a sealed society these days, so bring your own. Pillows were pretty old but clean same as the beding. Breakfast was very nice with multiple choices for everyone. Breakfasts assistant keeps it spottless with a happy attitude to boot. Ample parking and resturants. I would stay again. 3 stars from me!
