The Swan Inn

A lovely stay at The Swan! The bed was so comfy and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back.

We celebrated our 24th Wedding anniversary by having dinner at The Swan, which proved to be a great choice. My wife and I both ate 3 courses of superb food, complimented by a good choice of wines. Amy & her team looked after us from the moment we arrived even gave us a complimentary bottle of sparking wine, which was not expected. We dont live locally but will recommend to friends & will return to the Swan when next in Midhurst.

The staff were excellent but sadly the hotel was only just above average.

Three of us went there today for lunch; the food was delicious, beautifully presented and served by friendly and efficient Jonty. We were astounded at how reasonable the bill was and would heartily recommend friends to eat there. Well done The Swan!

When the quality is as good as I experienced, the lack of choice (half a dozen items on the menu including starters) simply isn't an issue. If you're only going to do a few things, do them well- and they certainly do. My wife and I shared two starters and two mains in front of a blazing fire, and I had two pints of the Harvey's Best which is a brilliant ale. We only popped in as the cafe across the road was packed, and I'm so glad we did. The ambience was relaxed, the staff attentive and the food simply fantastic. My onyl dissapointment was being too full to sample the dessert- so I cannot complain about portion size either. I would describe this as that rare combipnation of exceptional locally sourced quality food at a reasonable price point. So often we go out of a meal locally and are left bitterly disapointed, as we cook better ourselves every other night of the week. Not so here- we even asked the chef to elaborate on some of his offerings and took notes.

Simply the worst experience I have had for a great many years. I would advise all to avoid. Sometimes mistakes happen and sometimes things go wrong, it happens to everyone, everywhere. However the measure of restaurant is often how they rectify the situation. Alas not only was the service and food poor at the Swan, nobody cared. I don't often write reviews but I really felt let down and I wouldn't wish others to have the same experience.

Excellent - room was clean and spacious with usual amenities. Staff were very friendly and could not fault the great customer service. Restaurant and bar were great. Food was particularly good!

The Swan Inn is in a great location. Easily accessible. The Inn has a great atmosphere and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The food and service is very good too.
