Whenever we have gone to Midland to watch the G.L. Loons or go to Dow Gardens we have stayed at Sleep Inn. The staff are friendly, the breakfast has both good hot and cold offerings. They even have complimentary chocolate chip cookies and hot and cold beverages for the guests in the lobby. Overall, it covers all the bases and then some!

From checking in to checking out this place customer service was just a bare minimum. Room quiet and comfortable. Minimum guest supplies in room (towels and bar soap) bath towels on the small size. Breakfast area wasn't clean (thought it would be since the night before the chairs were on the tables). No forks or coffee cups and had to ask for supplies. Tables dirty. Coffee area garbage from other customers not cleared (yes, I cleared the area and wiped down the table before and after we ate).

My room was absolutely filthy. My room smell smelled of smoke. I asked for a room change and was told the hotel was completely booked despite no cars in the parking lot. In the morning. I asked the new attendant if the hotel was full and he said it was not. The shower light had dead bugs in it that appeared to look like cockroaches. The toilet was dirty. There was dust everywhere in the room. The room had only one USB port in the lamp, which was not working the hotel attendant had to check for herself to make sure it wasn’t working, but we were staying with a team. The only thing that looked clean were the beds. They did not have real coffee in the morning. It came out of a machine.

I was highly surprised as this was a rather inexpensive hotel. My expectations were not high, but they far exceeded those of a more pricey hotel. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in at a hotel. Highly recommended and will look for one whenever I need a hotel stay.
