Zermatt is a nice place, a little dated, but with nice rooms. I was here for a conference, and the conference facilities were terrific. The catering and clean-up staff were professional.

No room fridge or microwave even though online reservation stated it would. Front desk stated certain rooms don’t have them. Sauna and steam room were out of service at the Wellness Center with no prior notice before arriving (was a BIG reason for the reservation). Coffee maker in the room didn’t work. Bathroom run drained so slowly we had to shower with our feet in 6” of water. Little inconveniences added up to a very unrelaxing weekend getaway.

Zermatt is really just ok. Outdated decor, limited dining, outdated pool area, sauna and steam rooms in wellness center not working. The property really needs to do a complete overhaul to be considered a proper resort.

I like the fact that the location was up near the mountains and away from the busy city. The ambience was very acceptable. The grounds activities could be improved, especially for an extended stay. The miniature golf course was so poorly maintained that my score did not reflect my true abilities. I almost needed to see a therapist to deal with the frustration. We had fun though, a much needed getaway at a pretty nice place.

Maintenance of the property is lacking. Management needs to change. If it isn’t important to management to take care of the property, then the employees will not do it.

When we made our reservation it clearly states the Z’s restaurant is open for brunch : Mon- Thursday: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and dinner: Mon- Saturday: 4-9 p.m. when we checked in we were informed none of the restaurants on property were open. They open on Thursdays through Saturday.. SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW!!!

Terrible resort. Would not let some guests take the hotel shuttle (even when we offered to pay!!) which put our safety at risk, trying to get transport at night in a location we didn’t know. Their hotel shuttle policy and management making the policy was absurd.

We had a wonderful time as our cousins, daughters, granddaughters, aunts, mothers and grandmothers all gathered for our four day retreat. The Villa @ Zermott was the perfect gathering spot for making memories.
