The resort is beautiful and looks very appealing from the moment you drive in. Unfortunately it was marred by the self check in, having been given the keys and seeing a large amount of ants in the bathrooms and everywhere in the lounge. We called reception and they came and looked at it but offered to change our room for the night to a smaller apartment which we declined and went round cleaning up ourselves. To their credit they did offer to send housekeeping in the next day to do this but due to my son’s asthma and autism did not want to change rooms at 2am and the spray they use would affect his breathing.
The other problem we had was that it clearly stated our apartment came with a hot tub and Queen bed! Neither was the case and although we complained were told there was no availability of this type and to go back to Trip to get the matter resolved as it was their mistake.
One more thing is that the mattress was not of a good standard. It wasn’t deep and was firm but not supportive. It gave me a back ache and not the type that even a Premier Inn hotel supplies. This surprised me as the resort purports to be high in its standards. For me to rate our experience as 5* it would need to provide better quality beds and mattresses. Checks prior to moving in to make sure it’s ant free! And we should have got the hot tub. Aside from that I will still recommend it as a 4* for the view, spacious apartment and terrace, outdoor pools and free parking. Staff are generally polite and helpful.
