For such a well-known hotel in the area, what a disappointment. We would have had a better honeymoon at the Hilton down the street for half the price. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne at check-in along with a free drink voucher as a celebration for our honeymoon, which was very nice. Unfortunately, this is where the positive review ends. The cocktail lounge, Blu, was heavily recommended to us during check-in, so we decided to check it out. What we didn't anticipate was for it to be as small as it was. For how much it was advertised throughout the hotel, you'd think it would be able to accommodate more than 50 people. It's hard to enjoy your time while others are standing around your table waiting for you to leave so they can snatch it up. After ordering our drinks, it took 15 minutes to actually receive them. Our second order of drinks never showed up. The room was okay. Our exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, which wasn't a big deal. We found a clump of dark hair on the shower knob, which was a little disturbing considering it should have been just cleaned. What was the most frustrating were the thin walls. At 5:30am, our unconcerned neighbor decided to talk on the phone near our adjoining wall, to the point where we could hear the entire conversation, that lasted 15 minutes. He then proceeded to turn on his TV, which we could hear loud and clear. In addition, there was construction taking place on the 22nd floor (we were on the 21st). They decided to start their work day at 6:30am by hammering right above our room. Milwaukee's noise ordinance for construction restricts them from starting their day until after 7am, unless it's an emergency. I asked at check-out if they were doing construction and that it woke us up early and the employee had zero remorse and stated that they had already received complaints about the noise. None of them seemed to care. Unfortunately, the hype of the Pfister Hotel is NOT WORTH IT! Take your money elsewhere and actually enjoy your time. Our honeymoon was ruined by staying at the Pfister.
