Beautiful room, delicious food, and amazing people. The hospitality was outstanding!

Friendly and good food. The facilities feel a bit old, but that's not a problem. There seem to be two family baths, and there is debris floating around in the hot springs. I don't know if it's difficult to filter it out, but I think it would be better if it was cleaned up. The public bath was okay. I don't know if it was because of the rain, but it might be a bit disappointing for those who enjoy the hot springs. I intend to visit again.

Although Jiajia Hot Spring Hotel is a short distance from the central area, the hotel has a special shuttle service, and all the services are very considerate and in place. The hot spring pool is also great, with a variety of choices. The breakfast and dinner for one hotel and two meals are very rich. I will return if I have the opportunity. Want to stay again. 

I really like the InterContinental in Beppu. The bathhouse is very comfortable. The room is spacious. The facilities are good and relatively new. I recommend staying here when you go to Beppu.

It is recommended to drive there. If you take the bus, be sure to call the hotel to send a car to pick you up after getting off the bus. Otherwise, it will be very hard to carry your luggage from the station to the hotel (maps can be deceiving). The grilled fish for dinner is very special, and the red steak is very good. In addition to the private bath in your room, it is recommended to experience the public bath (open 24 hours a day, with a very special standing bath) and the family private bath (you can see the North Star at night when the weather is good) Finally, check out before 10:30 in the morning at the latest, which is a bit early.

The location of the hotel is a bit remote, but after communicating with the hotel in advance, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off, which is great. The hotel staff are very service-oriented. The dinner is rich and delicious. Overall it is good.

Very good services

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this onsen ryokan. Hospitality: The staff came to the carpark to greet us as soon as we arrived. We waited at the bar area with green tea. The reception staff could communicate well in English. Onsen: Our room had an indoor bathtub/onsen so we could enjoy anytime. We could book a free 50-min private family onsen, which was outdoor with a nice view. The public onsen (indoor and outdoor) was available 24-hour (except for the 15-min cleaning time at 9pm each night). We went at night so couldn't see much of the outdoor view there. Food: Our package included dinner and breakfast, both traditional Japanese style. We're very full! Room/environment : There was 10 detached units and ours was one of them. All traditional style with tatami and futon for sleep. Dinner is served at the restaurant and each room seems to have a private / segregated section so we didn't see other guests while eating. The whole place is not big and not much to do, but you feel like surrounded by greenery.
