I honestly wished I had known the location of this place. I had a rental car so I was able to drive up the mountain... however, it was terrifying. I cant imagine if you had to walk it. Its quite a distance, but the price point balances it out if thats whats important to you. If you do NOT plan on leaving the place at all, I suppose its fine. However, I knew that I would be going to the onsens and going to dinner. The road that leads up and down is 1 lane for both directions. I came across 1 car along the way, and I waited for the other person to back up. There was NO way I was going to do it with that windy road. Granted, its not a highly travelled road. I was petrified of having to drive up and down the place during the day, so I knew that I wouldnt be able to do it in the evening/night. There is barely any street lights and you are driving on the edge of a cliff. Truth is, as a female, unfamiliar with the area and the roads - the moment I got to this place, I booked a hotel right away. I did not even step foot inside so I cant comment on the accommodation. This is strictly a review for the location of the place.

The dormitory is very clean and very cost-effective. It is right next to Hiranodai. The location is a little difficult to find. Just walk up when you see this white sign. The boss was also very nice and even took me to a convenience store to buy food.

The roads are narrow and it's hard to find the place. There are no places to eat nearby, so it's inconvenient. There are hot springs nearby, so it's fine if you just want to sleep.

It is recommended for those who drive. The location is relatively remote. It can be said to be the cheapest accommodation in Kurokawa Onsen.

It is a clean guesthouse and the host is very friendly. They help you when you come and go by car. It is a guesthouse that is cost-effective enough to make you want to visit again.

The owner is very kind. The road up from the village is a bit far, but the scenery is very nice. It was an unforgettable memory. thank you!

I made a reservation to visit Kurokawa Onsen Village. I came by bus and was worried about getting to the accommodation, but after contacting the friendly host, I was able to go back and forth more comfortably! : ) The accommodation is also really nice! The air is so good in nature and the surrounding scenery is so beautiful. The inside of the accommodation is cozy and clean, and most of all, the host is very friendly. The charm of a guesthouse is interacting with people! I met 6 or 7 people during the two nights I was there, and it was really fun to get together at the accommodation and chat together in the evening after everyone had finished their schedules! I will definitely come back next time with my friends. Thank you so much to the host!

After riding a motorcycle to see around Mt. Aso It's a perfect location for the route to the great suspension bridge of dreams in Kokonoe the next day. I was very satisfied, but it would be difficult to visit if you do not have a car or personal transportation. After arriving, the owner said that he would give a ride to the convenience store, and he had a map, so he informed me well. First of all, I liked the bathroom the most. I had to pay 100 yen, but I got a large bathtub and rested comfortably. Aircon no remote control.
