I chose this place because of the Uonuma rice and the free-flowing hot spring water.
The water was excellent. It was great to cool off in the open-air bath. My skin became soft and smooth, which made me very happy.
The building is old, but the interior is clean and the furniture is stylish, which I like. I also like the service, which is at a reasonable distance. The rice at dinner was as good as I expected and was delicious. However, the set meal consisted of deep-fried meat and fish, and I chose the fried oyster set meal, which was too much for me. However, it came with four side dishes, which were all delicious! There were some appealing side dishes, and if they had come with a set of rice, miso soup, and side dishes, I would have been able to make my own dinner with just the right amount of side dishes.
It was a wonderful inn with a view of the rice fields after the rice harvest and the autumn-colored mountains. There was a heron resting on the roof.
