Miyakojima Hotels with Wi-Fi

On the first day, I walked to the hotel without knowing about the shuttle bus, but since it's hot, I recommend making a reservation and using the shuttle bus. I went to the evening buffet, which seems to be irregular. (Reservation required) It seems that there are days when they serve Japanese food and days when they serve Western food. It's nice to be able to take a break in your room after coming back from the beach and eat in the hotel. I enjoyed the buffet in the bright and clean restaurant both in the morning and at night ^ ^ There was also a pool, and although I didn't book a particularly large room, I had a comfortable stay.

Avoid at all costs. This hotel is 3 stars at best and charges 5 star rates. The property only benefits from its stunning views and location which is not unique and can be achieved anywhere on Miyako. The mid level room was over $1000 and was nowhere near the quality of the other luxury hotels we have stayed at on our two week honeymoon. All of the reviews that are glowing are surely from guests who do not know what a $1000 hotel experience should be. The service at dinner was unbearably slow nearly 2 hours to deliver 1 soup 1 salad and 1 entree. Water was never filled. Our server was so preoccupied in long conversations with other Japanese guests and tables with loud and disruptive children. Lastly the bed was unbearably hard. I know this is a personal preference but trust me there was something wrong with this bed. A hard foam bed with zero fluffy surface at all equivalent to putting a 1cm foam pad on the floor. You will be much happier staying at the brand new hilton hotel.

Located in Shigira Beach Resort, the whole resort is very large with many hotels. This hotel is far from the sea, but the facilities are very good, indoor swimming pool, beach beds, viewing balcony everything, it is a small luxury hotel. Outside the window is facing the lagoon inside the hotel. There are six or seven sea turtles. The mascot of the hotel is the sea turtle. The service is first-rate, and the breakfast is also good, especially the semi-outdoor seats, and I feel happy during the meal. There are many restaurants in the resort, all of which can be used. The sunset in the stardust garden is beautiful, and you can have dinner there. The Nanfeng BBQ in the style of Ryukyu has a very large set menu. I recommend set C with Miyako beef. There is also Saikai, soba noodles and vegetable tempura are good. There are also German cultural villages, cable cars, and semi-submarine fish watching boats at Boai Beach in the resort. If you want to book a taxi to tour the island, you can ask the hotel staff to make an appointment, which is very convenient. The transportation in the resort relies on the hotel's battery car and resort minibus, which is more convenient. It's a pity that it is far from the sea and I didn't enjoy the beach much, but the hotel itself is enough to enjoy.

You can see the lively harbor and Irabu Island from the room. The sunset is on the left, but unfortunately there is a Hilton Hotel (under construction) and you cannot worship the sunset. The room is quite small if it is not superior, there is only a 20 centimeter vacancy between the bed and the sofa, and there is no closet, so it feels like walking while hitting when you put a suitcase in the vacant part. It's a shame that the air conditioner was full of black mold and had a strange odor, and the bathroom smelled of sewage. When it rained, the corridor was flooded and left as it was. I expected breakfast because there was a picture of smoothies on the hotel image, but there was no such thing at all and it was like a cheap business hotel. I didn't provide hot water and I thought I wasn't thinking about anything because there was nothing but coffee. There was Japanese food, but the only thing that was delicious was miso soup and the rest was a bag-packed side dish. It was unusual for a hotel that did not serve Okinawa cuisine so far because it was served Japanese food. I think I wanted to give a Western-style fashionable feeling. For resort stay purposes, we do not recommend it except for rooms with high prices. Under Superior is small and you are at a loss in the luggage storage area. The location of the hotel was good because it was close to the downtown area about 15 minutes walk. However, the parking lot is full soon and the second parking lot is quite far away, so if you have heavy luggage, you should avoid going out from the evening.

This is the second year we have stayed here. We stayed here as a family of four for three nights. The children love the loft on the second floor, and as soon as they arrived this year, they were happy to spread out their luggage freely. The jacuzzi gave us a tropical feel, and we used it many times, day and night. It's the best. There is a drum washing machine, so we can do laundry without stress. It takes about four hours from washing to drying. They gave us one free detergent every day, but we brought our own gel balls. The beach directly connected to the hotel is the best in Miyakojima. It's a hermit crab paradise at night. You can see the stars and the fireworks at Shigira Beach. The adjacent Imgya Marine Garden also has a spectacular view, and the sea is full of fish, so it's worth seeing. The breakfast is also very delicious and has many dishes. There are many dishes that are local specialties of Miyakojima. The buffet at the Coral Blue restaurant at night is also recommended (reservations required). The room we stayed in the first year was not as sunny this time, but there was a dehumidifier, so our swimsuits and other things dried quickly, which was a relief. All the hotel staff who helped us were polite and kind. Rather than just thinking about what we were doing and calling out to us, it felt like if we called out to them, someone would immediately respond. The cleaning staff would often make eye contact with us and smile when they passed us on the street, which left a very good impression. There were shisa lions on the roofs of each building, which were very cute. If you go to Miyakojima, this is a recommended place to stay. I would like to go again.

There are free tuk-tuks or buses connecting each hotel to the ropeway and beach, which is very convenient. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Miyako Airport. No reservation is required for pick-up, it is right at the arrival exit; drop-off needs to be booked at the front desk. There are golden hot springs, ropeways and other facilities around. There are turtles in the bay at the door, and there are many kinds of marine sports. We signed up for paddle board and free diving tour. The room itself has a washing machine, which is very important. Go into the water several times a day, and wash wet clothes quickly. It also has its own kitchen, large refrigerator, oven, and coffee machine. The air conditioning is very powerful. Disadvantages: This family room is in Habor Wing, the facilities are old, the floor is still bulging, and although the cleaning is timely, cockroaches are found. The bedding is not very comfortable.

The website said to check in at the nearby Breeze Bay Marina, so I followed the instructions, but the correct place was the hotel front desk. I thought that was obvious. I hope they update the incorrect information. It took a long time to check in, but they were very friendly. I was traveling alone, so I wanted to enjoy the location and requested a room on a higher floor, and I was happy that I was upgraded. Is there no ”single person plan” on the official website? If possible, I would like you to consider a ”slightly cheaper single person plan.” At a certain remote island resort, the solo travel plan is 30% off the regular price, the same as the early bird discount 90 days in advance. I think it's an expense for a safe solo trip, but if there is a reasonable plan, I would think ”add another night.” I also think that solo travel with the purpose of ”doing nothing” is a luxurious time.

I stayed at the mirage Bayside several times, so this time I stayed at the beach front newly established in 2024. There was a feeling of condominium in an overseas resort, and I was able to spend a clean and very cozy time. Excellent access to Shigira Beach just by going down the stairs. However, it may be convenient to stay at the Bayside for breakfast venues, pool size, hotel shops, etc.
