Candlewood Suites MOBILE-DOWNTOWN by IHG

My only complaint is the card to use the elevator and door had to be reset a couple of times.  Otherwise everything else was great.  Staff was very friendly and welcoming.  Didn’t meet one staff person that was not friendly and didn’t speak to you

Booked this hotel last minute and I’m sure glad we did. After a very long travel day in the car and getting to the hotel at 1 am, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk member (Lily!). She was a breath of fresh air! Hotel itself was nice! Some areas that you can tell need some love, but overall, a homey, comfortable, clean and safe place to sleep after a long day! Would stay again if we were ever in the area. Well worth the price!

Manager name: Dillan Shaper told us that housekeeping should be running a regular schedule and should go to each room and do light housekeeping unless we requested extra. We requested a bed change and he made note of that like he was going to notify housekeeping and didn’t. Around 9 AM housekeeping came from door-to-door and asked if we needed any new towels or linen implying that she was not going to be doing full room cleans or stepping inside of each individual room to clean it. Dylan however, told us that that wasn’t true, and the housekeeping will be running regularly even throughout the Mardi Gras season. When we came back to the room later that night, they had not done any cleaning and not attempted to do any cleaning in our room was untouched, and we had a big pile of dirty linen, including bedsheets that needed to go out. Those bedsheets were they left outside of the door and stayed there untouched by any housekeeping or staff, despite us being right across from the staff break room. The manager gave us a gift card for $25 but would've offered us a refund but said ******* could since you booked through them. It was a very disturbing disappointing experience and stay.

Great location, huge comfortable room with kitchen right in safe and popular area of downtown Mobile. Five plus stars!

Staff was great, check in was at 4 I called them and asked for an early check in the said they start checking in at noon and it first come first served. Went at noon had 5 rooms open got my key and went on my way. Only took off one star since the ice machine is on the ground floor and you don't get an ice bucket (maybe you do and I didn't see it)

Great location. Safe adjacent parking. Multiple restaurants within 3-4 blocks. Reasonable price Clean and spacious room. Quiet, both inside and outside. Very pleasant, hospitable hotel employees. I would stay at this hotel again without any hesitation. Strongly recommend!

Staff was great. Honorable mention to Anna at the front desk. Good coffee, clean spacious room.

Entire premise appeared spotlessly clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, the room and bedding were very comfortable, the location is great! Parking was a breeze and much easier to navigate than most hotels.
