My husband and I booked two rooms here with a friend for one night when we were going to Osteria Francescana in May 2024. I loved this B&B so much that I wish we had stayed another night. If we ever go back to Modena, this is where we will stay. The room: The room was absolutely beautiful and very unique with high ceilings, a beautiful Murano glass chandelier, and a well appointed bathroom. The view looked out over a beautiful courtyard that was lit up with lovely lights in the evening. The air conditioning was excellent. The service: The service was excellent. We got in later than expected due to heavy rains and trouble getting a taxi, but Benedetta stayed 30 minutes late to wait for us so she could make sure to tell us about the area, hotel, and let us grab some fruit and pastries since we were leaving early the next morning. She was extremely kind and friendly - one of the nicest people we met during our month in Italy. The location: We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Osteria Francescana (it’s literally across the street, like a one minute walk), but it’s also walking distance to several shops and restaurants - we wish we had stayed longer to explore. I can’t recommend this place enough - it was amazing and very affordable (less than 200 euro per night for our room, and 130 euro per night for our friend’s room) especially compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Italy.

I stayed in the hotel during the July heatwave. Hence the best part of the hotel, the garden, was not really usable. The beautiful photos of the grand rooms at the reception level are really misleading. These rooms are not used for anything and are therefore adding little to the value. The worst bit was the room. Although on my own, I actually shared the room (and the bathroom) with the ants (plenty of them). When I arrived at 3 pm at 38C degrees, the fridge in the room was not working because it was unplugged. Basically the adapter was missing (both issues were dealt with after complaints, but issues like this should not arise in a 4* hotel). Note that the power points take in the old fashioned 3-pin Italian plugs and hence you need an adapter regardless of where you live. The bathroom, although clean, smelled of dampness and the shower sewage outlet was getting clogged after just a few minutes. The room, while spacious, felt very, very tired. Nobody has put a lick of paint in it for 50 years or so. Air-con was OK. The staff were a mixed bag. A young lady at the reception was the only one who put a smile on her face. The older members of the stuff looked like they are tired of everything and just waiting for retirement. Having moved from this hotel to the same-chain hotel in Bologna, the differences are to the extreme in every respect. In my mind, the only thing that is 4* in this hotel is the price. Everything else is at best 3* (cannot comment on breakfast, was not having it). On the positive side is the location of the hotel, 10 min walk to the Piazza Grande.

The staff at this boutique hotel is great. They are always very accomodating and friendly. They all speak english well if that is a concern. The breakfast room is very nice but also very traditional in its offering. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and well maintained. We have stayed here twice and will continue to stay there in the future. Great eating establishments nearby as well.

We had a wonderful time in Italy. I ate at the RMH restaurant 4 nights in a row. The chef Tommasso came to our table after hearing it was our 4th night eating at the restaurant and made us a special meal for us, an Asparagus pasta dish. I ate three different type of tortellini dishes that were fresh and perfect. The steak was perfect medium rare. The wait staff were so kind and professional. Ibrahim my waiter treated us like family. Some of the best service I have ever had. Everyone was kind and was patient with our little bit of Italian and mostly English conversation. The restaurant it self was beautiful and elegant. More than I expected from a hotel restaurant.

We have stayed here a view of times after giving it 5 stars a couple of years ago. Just to say it's still a very good hotel, and this time of the year it's even cheaper. Do not miss the restaurant. The locals use it, what could be better recommendation. So an easy 5 stars again.

This was just a one night stop over on a lengthy car journey. Ideal. The hotel was easy to find with parking literally at the door (not on market day, though!). Friendly staff, comfortable room and excellent breakfast - I saw one review saying it was boring after a week, but there was an extensive choice and all freshly made, I am not sure what else they could offer! Correggio is a nice little town with a lively selection of bars for the passeggiata and excellent food. We went to Osteria del Filosso - quality local produce.

GGuest UserThis hotel was actually perfect from top to bottom. We had a junior suite for an overnight and I would love to spend a week in this charming place with their attentive and competent staff. The place has old world charm but doesn’t feel outdated in any way. Room is large, comfortable and pristinely prepared for the guests. They even have a pillow menu. The front desk team will find you whatever you need - no matter the day or time. We wanted to have our hair washed and styled for a dinner on the evening of our arrival. The front desk attendant did not stop calling around until she talked someone into taking us in last minute. At the bar, we received perfect service, along with complimentary snacks prepared freshly for us. - they were delicious ! We got in late and hungry from the Michelin restaurant in town where we had not liked the food - no problem, more snacks sent to our room with a bottle of wine. I am on a long trip through Europe and have stayed in various hotels - many 5 stars. This hotel was at the very top of our list service and accommodation wise. I will absolutely return to the charming town of Modena and stay at this hidden Gem !

The hotel was welcoming, the restaurant was excellent, the beds very comfortable with smooth monogrammed sheets! and the gardens pleasant for a morning stroll. There is also a pool. A very good hotel, can't recommend too highly. 'Old fahioned' in the very best sense.

GGuest UserThe price at night is really low. In front of the university and near the bus stop. The room is very small as the television, just needs for a night support. The bathroom is modern. I had to wait 20 minutes for hot water. Breakfast is not a buffet. There is a barman who asks you what you want to eat, so a piece and coffee. nice and available staff. Unfortunately there is no lift but for the little I paid there were the services I wanted.
