We had a great time, a great Sicilian style room, lots of comforts, including an outdoor jacuzzi which we used on Christmas evening. Certainly to be recommended and taken into consideration for future visits to the area.

I loved everything about this place. It's a private home, built in the late 19th century for a prominent local family who still live there and rent out four rooms on the main floor. I stayed in the Time Suite, and loved the comfortable bed and enormous bathtub. In some ways it's more like an Airbnb--the owners are available if needed, but there's no restaurant, gym, or business centre, and the front desk isn't staffed at night. But what you get is a sense of being a welcome guest in a beautiful house, with access to a lovely garden, a rooftop hot tub, a large and well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of common space. Staying here is a unique experience and very reasonably priced.

Edel Emotional Domus Et Luxury Hotel (what a mouthful) is an all round excellent place to stay in Modica. It’s located overlooking the hills and a twenty minute walk from the station. My room was large with a small balcony and a fridge stocked with soft drinks. I used the coffee machine in the kitchen on a couple of occasions and enjoyed a relaxing soak in one of their jacuzzis. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money for what you get. I really enjoyed my stay and would certainly recommend Edel to anybody visiting the town. I only wish I had managed to book the Library Room. One small negative addition at the end of a five star review. It’s a pity breakfast couldn’t be provided at the hotel. A voucher was provided, although this only let me get a coffee and a croissant and I had to pay for my cream cake! As I had paid for two people perhaps I should have been given two vouchers. But never mind! This is only a speck on what is otherwise an amazing review of such a wonderful hotel.

From the comfy beds, to the killer views, to the lovely gardens with jacuzzi (yes, believe it, we got in the jacuzzi in the heat of august in the evening when it cooled off and it felt fantastic!), to the most kind and warm staff possible, this was a great stay I would recommend to anyone visiting Modica. Not to mention the perfect location to all things local!

My wife and I made our reservation through ***********, this was for a suite with balcony, breakfast included. We arrived for our 3 night stay late afternoon to be met by the owner/manager? who checked us in. We were informed that breakfast was not being offered in the hotel and we were given vouchers for a cafe downtown in Modica ! 1. Two routes to the cafe, 1.5km round trip by road, or 1.4 km using 68 steps down to the main road, and then 68 steps back up on the return journey !. Walking was the only solution with parking being an impossibility 2. At the cafe I was told the voucher had a value of €5, that gave me an orange juice, coffee and croissant - no jam. 3. Through the tourist board office we attempted to contact the hotel, the person who checked us in had disappeared, never to remerge during our entire stay, never anybody at reception. 4. Balcony, yes, but just capable in letting a person stand 5. TV, no International channels 6. An ancient bed that creaked at the slightest movement 7 .Hospitality tray but with no milk provided 8. Usually we would expect a settee or comfortable chair in a suite, we had a table and 4 chairs 9. Terraced garden on several levels, only seating metal chairs 10. Street parking impossible, free parking 450 metres away It is a travesty to call this a luxury hotel Be warned

Excellent location for visiting the city Large, spacious and clean rooms Comfortable mattress Presence of many services such as washing machine with dryer Garden with heated hydromassage tub It is possible to cook with a beautiful Weber barbecue Unfortunately I have to point out 2 lapses in style which lead me to rate only 3 stars 1 style flaw: breakfast outside the B&B OK that there are anti-covid regulations but inside the structure it gives us so many spaces that even if full guests can have breakfast well spaced out but the pro is not having breakfast outside but going to the partner bar to get 2 croissants, 2 juices and 2 coffees means having to pay 4 euros since the breakfast voucher comes to 10 euros for 2 people... now in all the B&Bs on this holiday the cola was included yesterday and was always made up of pastry croissants cappuccino freshly squeezed yogurt with granola and also savory. Now also let me pay 10 euros more for the room but provide a real breakfast 2 failure of style I get up at six and turn on the kettle in the room (what a great service..) for a tea but the light goes out we were left in the dark then at 08.00 when the cleaning lady appears I explain the problem and she tells me that it is the fault of the kettle which always does this So either remove the kettle from the room OR solve the problem OR explain to the guest how to restore the power in case the circuit breaker trips always a nice place to stay

Edel Modica is a lovely gem in the charming heart of Modica. The property is very well maintained and has excellent views of the town. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and spacious. However, the highlight for us were the hot tubs in the secluded garden and the terrace.

Last minute decision to stay at this charming sophisticated and welcoming place. Stayed in the Suite. Spacious room, high ceilings, fantastic bathroom, great view over the town and welcoming hosts. They welcomed my two little dogs, that's a winner for me! Honesty bar, spotlessly clean, a gem! Thank you for giving us such a relaxing time!
