To visit the valley di Noto cities this is an interesting place to stay if you don’t want to be in a busy city center. Modica is just 10 min away. Reception is very helpful and the rooms are ok, just make sure you can cope with a totally white room. It was a bit warm and for the evening we wanted to use the airconditioner but it was not yet working. The breakfast was pleasant if you like lots of cake . My big disappointment was that this is sold as room with noise cancellation. However you could follow the next door conversation ( potentially through the ventilation system?) and other things couples do. And they were not yelling at all.

Stayed here for couple of nights during a recent visit to Sicily. Location was perfect, about 10 min walk from bus drop off & just behind the main road of the old town. The owners were friendly & helpful. We had couple of problems accessing our key box & they turned up within 10 mins to help. Access codes to get into the property had been sent within minutes after we had confirmed our reservation online - a day before we had arrived in Sicily. Cleanliness - property was clean, rooms were clean & modern. Decor & furniture too. Price was reasonable considering location & facilities. Communal kitchen with free coffee & tea was a welcome added bonus! All in all, very happy and would: 1. Definitely recommend it. 2. Stay here again.

Anche se a distanza di tempo da quando recensisco, per una sosta lavorativa nella zona di Ragusa ho soggiornato in questo hotel nella periferia di Ragusa. Camere pulite e dotate di ogni comfort. Ottima colazione a buffet servita in sala comune con caffetteria.

We stayed here as part of a group. Our room was lovely, but rather cool and dark, with a tiled floor, so if staying in the cooler months take pyjamas and slippers. There was (plug-in) heating in the room. The shower room fittings looked ancient but worked very well, with a plentiful supply of toiletries and towels replaced regularly. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of freshly prepared fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, some hot food, croissants, warm rolls and bread for toasting. AND a huge array of sweet things. The coffee could have been better, but lots of different teas available with a teapot. We only had 2 dinners here, neither of which were that special, but the restaurant was always full in the evenings. Staff were helpful, friendly and spoke good English.

The hotel is actually on the slope, and the place you navigated to is down the slope. The car can park on the side of the road for free, and the hotel is monitored. Ring the bell uphill to open the door to enter, pass a small flower courtyard and a long corridor, and check in on the second floor. Our room is on the fifth floor. The two bedrooms are separated. There is a separate bathroom. There is a large terrace outside. It is great to sit outside on a sunny day the next day. There is a door on the fifth floor to go directly to the upper city of Ragusa. You can swipe your room card, which is very convenient. In the morning, the breakfast was quite rich. The front desk of the dinner hotel introduced a restaurant not far from the city. In the 16th-century house, the dishes, environment and service are very good. In winter, there are few people, so we will book a meal during our meal.

Amazing stay, lovely and quiet hotel. But the best of the best is GONZALO he treats you like family. I really recommend to have dinner in the hotel, the food that Gonzalo offers is another level and with a very fair price. Thanks from London it was lovely

Used this place as a base for touring the hill towns of South East Sicily. We found it well located to get to Scicli, Modica and of course Ragusa. All within 20 minutes drive. We arrived late on a Sunday and helpful lady on reception gave us great recommendation. Lovely big room, spacious parking area and big plot to roam. Inviting swimming pool with lots of loungers - bit too cold to use in May though. Poppies and wildflowers abound the grounds. Environmentally conscious theme. Local products well in evidence at breakfast. Good choice of food and great fresh blood orange juice! Overall incredible value. Would come back!

GGuest UserGlorious family palazzo of gianpiero’s ancestors and family Gianpiero is a delightful and exemplary host The palazzo is beautiful, the breakfast area gorgeous and the location of the palazzo is in walking distance to many fine restaurants including one literally next door Breakfast is given attention to detail by gianpiero from the croissants (filled with Nutella or custard ), biscuits and pain de chocolat to savoury options yoghurts fruits and juices Nothing more delightful than to pass time dining with a morning breeze coming into the period decorated room The bedroom came with a queen and two single beds and a lovely and spacious shower The only problem was my cousin had trouble negotiating some of the stairs due a recent leg injury , but that is and was a common occurrence in much of the areas we travelled as most were in the old towns

The receptionist (Antonio) is really aggressive(the one at check in time was very friendly), I asked for a taxi 30 min before the bus. he called their own private service, which promised ro arrive in 20 min, but he arrived in 30 amd made me lose airport bus. the receptionist starts to blame me because I shoud reserve the taxi in (really not a joke) previous night in a very aggressive and defensive way. really terrible and unreliable services by the hotel. Missing flights is ok by this hotel's standard. - Very bad wifi connection. - Breakfast is mediocre (hot coffee and some pasta pieces). - Mattresses are terrible, they provide no support for the back - pillows are very low quality sponges. not recommended unless you have no other choice (other hotels in modica bassa are way more professional and have high quality services)

Edel Emotional Domus Et Luxury Hotel (what a mouthful) is an all round excellent place to stay in Modica. It’s located overlooking the hills and a twenty minute walk from the station. My room was large with a small balcony and a fridge stocked with soft drinks. I used the coffee machine in the kitchen on a couple of occasions and enjoyed a relaxing soak in one of their jacuzzis. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money for what you get. I really enjoyed my stay and would certainly recommend Edel to anybody visiting the town. I only wish I had managed to book the Library Room. One small negative addition at the end of a five star review. It’s a pity breakfast couldn’t be provided at the hotel. A voucher was provided, although this only let me get a coffee and a croissant and I had to pay for my cream cake! As I had paid for two people perhaps I should have been given two vouchers. But never mind! This is only a speck on what is otherwise an amazing review of such a wonderful hotel.

LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants.
PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel.
ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best!
BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'!
WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water
HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced.
STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile.
I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive.
You will not regret it.
Modica Boutique Hotel is classified as a 4-star, but for me, it beats a 5-star hotel, by far!

FFairbutselectiveHotel is in a great location in town although the walk back up the steps from the main street is a challenge after dinner; there was a longer walk without the steps. The Hotel promotes its art credentials so is a little different but not in a negative way. Room (102 I think but called the Blue Room) was a reasonable size (good for Europe), clean, new and colourful with a great balcony view over the town. The bed was comfortable. Two complaints however, were the hi-tech power / light panel that required some getting used to and the shower that leaked onto the bathroom floor due to poor design / finish. Otherwise the bathroom was fine. Wi fi was included and good and the breakfast was in a nice space with a good choice. There was a lift from reception to upper floors but stairs from the street to reception - no problem except for those in a wheel chair or the like. Staff was helpful when available but reception was often empty - seems staff number did not match demand?
