Stayed here for one night while participating in the Moffat Classic car show. We chose this hotel mainly due to its reputation/reviews and large car park. The Hotel ticked all the right boxes, lovely room, good friendly staff and very good breakfast as well as a nice comfortable bar area for evening drinks. Unfortunately we didn't the restaurant other than for breakfast, we look forward to a return visit next year.

We came here as a cycling group for lunch. Great food, excellent service and what a lovely building , inside and out. Highly recommended. Great location with large car park. Some amazing internal decor and furnishings, look out for the antler chair1

Visited with friends as it’s a convenient place to meet (travelling from different locations). Had a lovely lunch, followed by coffee in the lounge area. Amazing food and lovely staff. We enjoyed a relaxing get together and will return in a few months to repeat the experience. Thank you

It was superb from the moment we stepped into the hallway until the moment we left. Our room was lovely, tastefully decorated, beautiful bedding, comfy bed and pillows too. The whole House has an elegant but homely feel with fab seating everywhere. No matter where we sat it was comfy. Dinner both nights was special, tasty and beautifully presented. The same could be said about breakfast. Service amazing throughout. Oliver must have a twin as he was always around but not intrusive. Really nice team approach providing an unusually buoyant, relaxing but professional service. We shall be back. Only thing I would say is Your website needs updating it does not do you justice 🤗🤗🤗

We stopped overnight at Moffat House en-route to the North of Scotland. The Moffat area is a convenient half-way point. Moffat House did not disappoint. It is a lovely old house and annexes on the Main Street in the centre of Moffat with plenty of parking. Outstanding staff - a warm welcome on arrival made us feel very much at home. A lovely bedroom, tastefully and restfully decorated, with plenty of space. We chose to have dinner at the hotel and were not disappointed. Each course was well judged, presented attractively and impossible to fault. Breakfast too was excellent. Overall, this is a professionally run hotel with lovely staff, surroundings and decor. We hope to return on our next venture “up North”

My family (26 of us) were catered for marvellously by Moffat House Hotel. It was howling a gale outside, but you wouldn't know as the hotel has been made so cozy, tasteful and welcoming. Staff are amazing. Food was brilliant, especially considering how many of is there were to cater for all at once. Staff were attentive and well humoured. Will definitely be coming again. Cant wait to get outside in that garden in summer.

We stopped off in Moffat having driven past many many times. The sarnies were made with love and delicious. The soup and sourdough also delicious. The sweet treats were perfect. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was really relaxed and comfy. Will definately come again, maybe stay. The fact that it did lunch wasn't obvious from the outside and apart from a small menu at the front of the hotel, a bit of persistence paid off. Once through the front door (feeling like I should be a resident), I found the bar and there was a warm welcome. Whilst a neon sign would put me off to catch passing trade, maybe something other signage? Or maybe you want it to be a well kept secret. Thank you and good luck for your business.

The hotel is in the centre of Moffat. Easy access to the motorway in a beautiful part of the country. Everything about this hotel was 5 star. Parking plentiful and easy. Staff were friendly, professional and very efficient. FOOD...from breakfast to evening meals were excellent. The food was freshly cooked, tasty, very well presented and served with experience. Room was beautiful and clean. Bed was comfortable had a great nights sleep and the ensuite shower was powerful. I would definitely stay again and have every confidence in highly recommending Moffat House to anyone.
