The Avid is a great Hotel that I stay at every time I am in the Madison area! Rates are good, rooms are very nice, service is great! And, it is close to some great restaurants including my favorite cigar bar the Tasting Room! Thank you Avid for always being there for me.

Cozy, and nice environment. Breakfast was better than other hotels. Many varieties and breakfast food. The rooms and lobby are very clean and pleasing to the eyes. Rooms had a good amount of hygeine products, from conditioner to moisturizer that you don't usually see in hotels.

The room was compact, but had everything I needed within reach. Staff was friendly. The grab and go breakfast was great, basically everything I'd have for breakfast at home. And I loved the on-demand drink station all day. It was great to grab some decaf or tea before heading to my room at night.

Very European. Loved the simplicity with comfort. The bed was every bit as comfortable as the Holiday Inn's, and the TV was bigger, too. I'm wondering why it took me so long before booking with Avid. I love that the price reflects the simplicity, too.

Disappointed in the lack of amenities like a washer and dryer. The cost room we got started smelling like sewage. Not a huge fan of the way the want to change how you go to hotels. This is more a place for business trips. It seemed very impersonal and not all that friendly.

VERY clean room!! We were on the 4th floor, relatively quiet except for the occupant in the right above us having a heavy foot:/ Minor issues noted: Body wash soap container in shower empty; and bathroom sink drain drained extremely slowly (plugged?). Both issues reported to Front Desk. Breakfast was incredible!!…not the usual hotel waffles, toast, and boxes of cereals. Healthy omelets (without the yolks!), fresh oranges, hard boiled eggs, and more. Will DEFINITELY return to this hotel when we’re in the Madison area again.

This is one of the cleanest hotels! The staff are the most friendly as well. I enjoy staying here when I’m in town - business or personal travel, their team does a great job and you can’t beat the location. The fitness center and breakfast are great amenities as well.

I am a wheelchair user and this hotel was, hands-down, the best accessible hotel room I have ever encountered. Everything I needed to reach was appropriately lowered or barrier free. I love all of the lowered hooks in the room as well as the desk that is totally clear underneath, and the pushbutton operated blinds. In the bathroom, everything was done with such attention to detail. Not only was the sink accessible, there was plenty of counter space, which isn’t always the case. Best of all, the shower had a built-in shower bench so I didn’t have to go asking housekeeping for one at midnight. The shower controls were easy to reach from the bench, the shower also had a shelf for your own toiletries, and taking a shower didn’t flood the entire bathroom. The only strong suggestion I have to make is that the beds in the accessible rooms be lowered by about 4 inches, or at least it should be given as an option so that the bed basis could be switched out when people request it. despite the beds that are a bit too high, there is 3 feet of space between the two beds and the flooring is not carpet! Well done, avid hotels.
