The exterior is a medieval castle, and the interior is equipped with modern living facilities, which is spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff escorted us to the room and was warm and thoughtful. The breakfast was rich and the environment was beautiful. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance. A great experience!

The chateau is nothing short of spectacular. The rooms, the magnificent halls, the rotundas and pianos in the common rooms, and the grounds are breathtaking. The breakfast and dinner, served in a setting of old-world charm, were world-class. Every single staffer from the concierge to the waiters and sommeliers was friendly, solicitous and kind. Mere minutes from the museum hosting the historic Bayeux Tapestry, we are recommending this jewel to our friends, family, and anyone else who wishes to be treated (for a day or two) like a king or queen.

Le chateau, les décors et jardins sont sublimes. L'histoire du propriétaire est également fantastique. L'accueil est correct, sans être exceptionnel Le petit déjeuner est très complet et la salle est splendide. Voila pour les points positifs. Pour le reste, la chambre est terriblement vieillissante. La moquette, la salle de bain, les rideaux, la literie.. tout laisse à croire que les chambres n'ont pas été rénovées depuis les années 60. Elles sont également très mal insonorisé, ce qui semble normal pour un chateau, mais pas pour un hotel 5 étoiles. L'espace détente est également en dessous très décevant. Traversée d'un long couloir en sous sol, personne à l'accueil du spa. Hamman hors de service, sauna tiède et piscine interieure peu accueillante. La piscine exterieure ainsi que le terrain de tennis sont, pour leur part, comme laissé à l'abandon. En résumé, je trouve que cette expérience bien qu'incroyable par le cadre, n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles. J'espère que ce chateau retrouvera son lustre d'antant, à l'image des reves de son incroyable propriétaire.

Château D'artigny & Spa in Montbazon is nothing short of astonishing in size and splendour. Whilst dated, the room was still excellent and the public rooms, reception, bar and restaurant are simply opulent. We absolutely loved the bar and the bar manager was a charming chap. The grounds are expansive and have to be seen to be believed. A short drive to the marvellous city of Tours, it is ideally placed to explore this historic region. Our only regret was that we did not stay multiple nights. We will be back again to rectify that!

Très bon accueil, une équipe au petit soin dans tous les services. Très joli château, un escalier remarquable, un accès au SPA en sous-sol permet d'accéder du château à ce dernier en toute tranquillité et en toute discrétion. Concernant les repas, que ce soit du petit déjeuner ou du dîner, un sans faute.

There is a definite 'wow' factor when you arrive and see the chateau for the first time. Unfortunately its all downhill from there. The rooms are spacious and functional but nothing special. The main issue is the rudeness of the staff. They just don't seem to want to help or view it as an imposition. My group had dinner in the first night and arrived at 8pm but didn't get fed till 10.30pm. The food was lovely when it did finally arrive bu there are not enough staff in the restaurant. If you don't have a car it is very limiting as there is nothing else in walking distance. We had to get a taxi to the nearest town Montbazon which is a 5min ride but cost €100 return.
