Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo

The breakfast is very rich in terms of Western breakfast, and the dining environment is great. The location of the hotel is superb and you can walk around the main attractions of Monte Carlo. For the room type I booked, the hotel can offer an extra bed for free.

Two friends and I stayed here to watch some tennis which was taking place. The moment we arrived Maajid ( front desk) was keen to help us get our bearings. The room was clean and quiet. The restaurant served some very tasty pasta and pizza’s. The location was brilliant station round the corner express bus to Nice airport bottom of the road. All in all an excellent stay with Maajid going the extra mile continuously.
Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton

We stayed for two nights at the start of our holiday, on arrival we were greated very warmly by the reception staff.....our room wasn't ready so we decided to get a bite to eat in the restaurant......the service was very poor and we had to ask several times if we could order and then to chase the order.....I think they were busy setting up for dinner.....once finished our room was ready, we stayed in The Apartment which has a beautiful view over the Rose Garden and further on to the sea....the room is simply stunning and perfect for our family of 4. There was again a delay in getting our luggage to the room and we had to call down a couple of times for it. Breakfast was OK.....they seem to be short staffed as there was no one to tell us how to order but they all seem to be working very hard. The pool area is lovely, shared with the apartments next door but with ample sun loungers as the life guard removes any towels that are on sun loungers not being used, this led to several arguments we witnessed whilst there. One note of thanks goes to the concierge as on departure we asked for a taxi to the train station, there seems to be a huge shortage of taxis around Monaco and after a short wait he very kindly gave us a lift there in the hotels mini van which was very much apprecaited. All in all a wonderfull stay and would receommend this hotel to all....
Le Méridien Beach Plaza

We traveled to France for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We planned to stay in Monaco first for two nights then travel to Nice for the remainder of our trip for four nights. We booked lodging to stay at Le Meridien properties for both cites. Le Meridien Beach Plaza was our first impression and we must say it didn’t disappoint! We arrived early around noon on July 18th after a long trip from the States . Upon arrival there where no rooms available and had to wait until the guarantee time of 3PM. We had hoped to have been able to check in but it was so busy which in turn reviled that this is a popular hotel with all the people coming and going. Due to waiting the hotel was able to hold our bags so we could go get some lunch and start to explore the city. After returning a little after 3PM we went to go check-in only to be told we had to wait a little bit longer. At this point my wife and I were so tired due to the travel and it didn’t help that it was so hot because of the heatwave effecting the globe. Having to continue to wait for a room after 3PM frustration started to set in, so we set in the lobby where my wife started to fall asleep. After 10 minutes I approached the front desk to check if we could finally secure a room and that’s where we met Giosue whom proceeded to check us in. He could tell I was a little irritated and after explaining to him what had all transpired with us trying to check-in he immediately apologized and explained that it was so busy with so many people booking rooms at the property. After establishing rapport with one another while checking-in I shared with him we where visiting to celebrate 20 years of marriage. He was so excited for us and felt bad about the delay with checking-in, without question he proceeded to upgrade our room from a partial view to a full ocean view. My wife and I where elated and surprised that he did that. He even went further with giving us a 10% discount to the restaurant on property during our stay. To put a special touch of generosity and professionalism he personally escorted us to our room to show how nice it was and to ensure we where fully satisfied. As I shared in the beginning of this review this stay didn’t disappoint at all. Giosue throughout the stay made sure we where happy and genuinely wanted to hear our journey of 20 years of marriage as he shared with us that he was starting his own journey. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendship we created with Giosue as well as the other staff we encountered while staying at this amazing property!
Novotel Monte-Carlo

The location is as good as you'd expect in a town like Monte Carlo - you've never far away. They have off-site parking that is charged per access. Park the car and leave it - you can do everything else by foot. There is a drop off point out front to empty the car (only room for about 3 cars) on a busy road. The check-in process was smooth, friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculate and well appointed. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable - important things. Breakfast was included and the staff went out of their way to help my wife with her gluten free requirements. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-out was simple and easy. Would stay there again.
Fairmont Monte-Carlo

Our stay was at the end of July ,and we had a two night stay. We had two sea view rooms, with lovely views ,the rooms being clean and very comfortable. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar and also at the Horizon Rooftop, where we had both breakfast and lunch. The breakfast is excellent, so much choice plus a chef for eggs of your choice etc. The lunch buffet is also excellent , and complimentary bottled water included. We took a trip to the beach - you get transported in a buggy so no walking , and we enjoyed our morning there - you will be allocated to The Fairmonts beds rather than choosing your position, but theses beds are complimentary. The toilet , lockers and shower facilities here are very good. We also used the pool (Nikki Beach). Again the Fairmont guests have an area of complimentary sun beds - not the large day beds directly by the pool, but for us that wasn’t a problem as ours were a little quieter. We did have a 6 year old with us and we had fun in the pool - he was the only child there though! The Fairmont is not cheap - everything is expensive…..but that is what we expected from Monte Carlo. It is in an excellent position, has a fantastic view over the hairpin, staff brilliant, food and drinks top notch, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
