Nice hotel and great rooms

The sauna door was broken. The engineer/technician went to the location just to take a look and they didn't fix it during my entire stay. The Jacuzzi was ok. The steam room was ok. The pool was very good. I called the reception desk several times to get information about the hotel but no one answered. I went in person and when I got to the entrance the assistant told me that the reception desk was full of customers to serve and that's why the calls weren't being answered.

There is a good quality price relation. Breakfast: complete and abundant. It has everything to have a great disconnection experience. Free spa access and parking. On this occasion, the Turkish bath was out of service. Very friendly and helpful staff. The beds are somewhat hard, but you can rest well in them. We will be back!

The hotel looks like a not-too-posh block of flats. The carpets in the entrance area could be replaced. However, the rooms are large and well air-conditioned. From the terrace I had a view of other blocks. A puddle of water from the shower on the floor. The breakfast was unspectacular, the coffee (soluble) was quite unappetizing. You have to take the cheap price into account.

Everything ok, good breakfast, unfortunately parking is non-existent in busy months.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all Expensive for what was on offer Gym which was barely in use was only available to customers during 2-5 pm Not idea at all There was a very basic / minimal menu Prices at the bar varied depending on server one day a coffee was 1.5 , the next 2.5 Requested an iron , none available Over all didn't feel very clean

This Hotel doesn't deserve a 4 star, it's was very basic, staff didn't communicate well and the service was very poor. There was a flood due to mini storm so weather wasnt the best. The food was more or even the same with no variety of different daily dishes. The indoors swimming area was very open in the middle of the hotel didnt feel comfortable especially with old men looking over. Wouldn't recommend for family and definitely wouldn't go back again !!! I've been to better 3 star hotel than this 4 star hotel !!! Also, its very expensive in Portugal 🇵🇹.

Went for 4 days with my daughter, first impressions wasn’t great, looked very basic, the reception area looked basic, and not as knew compared to the photos. The hallway to the rooms were very basic like we were in a 2 star hotel. The room itself had everything you needed but again the decor very basic, the floor and painting of the walls looked cheap. The hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom wasn’t strong enough to dry ur hair. Definitely shouldn’t be a 4 star hotel as I have stayed in a lot better 3 star hotels, Ive never stayed in a 3 star hotel worse than this. Not many staff could speak English, struggled to order at the bar as no one could speak English. The food was awful, not much choice and not very nice. Do not include breakfast or dinner in the booking as cheaper and nicer to eat out. Breakfast was streaked smoky bacon, fried egg, scrambled egg, boiled egg, cereal, fruit, yogurt or meat. It definitely needed a different choice than just serving different kind of eggs, definitely needed to serve beans or plum tomatoes. We just had chips for tea but they did also have chicken casserole. The games room is in the same room as the indoor pool and also in the centre of everything so it felt everyone was looking at you, me and my daughter didn’t feel comfortable using the swimming pool with men drinking playing pool, and other people sitting in the same room drinking alcohol, it was too open. The swimming pool was not heated, when I asked reception if it was going to be heated as it says online she replied it’s never heated. We did try to get in but it was that cold we had to get out. They had two pool tables but only one working. No entertainment, no outdoor pool, nothing for the kids to do. Nothing to do in the local area, Other family’s we met said the same thing. There was places to eat and could walk 5 mins to the beach which was massive and lovely but the beach was the only attraction. I asked if there was anything to do but they said no just the beach, they said they don’t have tour busses or anything in monte gordo all there is to do is eat sleep go on the beach. Not many people speak English in the local area. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or monte gordo.

The hotel was clean but the food was unedible most of our 10 night stay .breakfast very cold no beans on any day tomatoes only 2 days but very tasteless the evening meals were also tasteless no potatoes chips every night. The staff were not very friendly or helpful .It cost us as much again to eat out .The hotel is definitely not a 4star

Have just returned home after a week at this hotel. I noticed it had mixed reviews. My personal opinion of this hotel is it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is very clean and spacious. My room and bathroom were spotless. Free air con, free safe. A very decent size fridge that kept contents very cool. Free wifi all over the hotel and no problems with it. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. As we’re the bar staff. A “hi” to Martin who was super sweet. A huge dining area that was very clean. Lots of choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, fruit, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, preserves and honey etc. There was also cooked bacon, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms etc. Toaster at hand for toast. The bread rolls are baked fresh in the kitchen each morning and are delicious. My one and only negative is the choice of teabags. Needed three to produce one cup of weak tasteless tea. There’s a large sunbathing area with good quality sun loungers. The pool was stunning too. I would most definitely return to this lovely and well run hotel.

*The checkin is at 16pm instead at 12pm. Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room at all, I went to the receptionist to report it then the lady said that the guy has been there on that week and everything was working smoothly, but then I said, it’s not working in my room at all, she simply said, that’s nothing I can do, rude lady . ( I stayed one week without Wi-Fi. *Gym- there’s not such information that you need to pay 5 pounds to use the gym in certain time , you can use only from 2pm to 5pm before that you need to pay, being aware that the gym only open at 12:00pm instead morning. *Breakfast- the poor ever hotel breakfast I have been. There’s simply 2 types of bread ham and cheese , one type of cake, one type of yorgut, as less as they could provide, literally really poor breakfast, much better to have a good breakfast outside and pay cheaper. I highly not recommend this hotel, it was a deal on lastminute.com, please do check all the details on the hotel website before purchasing.
