This a motel like establishment. No where near a 4 star. What a disappointment. One of the reviews suggested a power wash was needed because the whole place is disgusting. Covered in seagull poo everywhere. The tiles hadn’t seen a mop in years. A tired and filthy ‘hotel’. The reception room has pee like odour on entry and unfortunately more strange smells follow you where ever you move in the building. I would suggest a bomb but that is rather rude Rooms aren’t cleaned on a daily bases and was reflected in the rooms. So glad I took antibacterial wipes as these were needed to wipe down all the counter surfaces due to some questionable stains on some surfaces and dribbles down the sides of the units.the tv didn’t work and the remote was sticky! Beware some rooms have no safes. Breakfast was ok but served in a school cafeteria style hall not a dining room as you would expect in hotel environment. Not a pleasant stay.

Lovely room, quality beds and bedding. Great location for shops and restaurants, the marina and coastal path walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Loved Monterey

A wonderful place. Set so close to everything. Near Fisherman’s Wharf and Lovers Point. Plus good restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and the staff were really helpful. I recommend getting the suite as it’s so comfortable. The parking is handy too.

The entire staff was so very helpful and kind. Smooth check-in, clean spacious rooms, great location, comfortable furnishings. From my creating reservation complications, to the extra smooth check-in process, to a minor parking issue because of street construction trucks, to a quick minor tv fix, to us changing rooms and extending our stay.....everyone went way beyond the extra mile to help us. Can't begin to list all the good things about this hotel. We have stayed here several times as a couple and enjoyed every time. This time we came with 3 other family members and just had to let everyone know that this hotel and the staff that runs it is absolutely awesome.

This hotel should be much cheaper. Location is good (walkable to downtown) and room was large, but our shower and separate bath both didn’t drain fast enough so we had a 2-inch puddle of dirty water at our feet at end of shower, which was disgusting. Room had dirty Q-tip in it and another one was on the walkway outside our door which was never picked up by staff our entire 4-day stay. No bedding or even a towel was provided for our daughter even though we reserved the room for 3 of us. Jacuzzi didn’t heat and jets didn’t work one night. Room is very dark (Luxury King). No A/C. Beds very uncomfortable.

My fiance and I stayed at Hotel Pacific this past weekend. We arrived in Monterey with no bookings, wanting to see our options before we booked. Hotel Pacific was the third hotel we looked at, and we knew right away that this is where we wanted to spend the weekend! First off, Linda (an absolute angel!) at the front desk greeted us with the most kind and sincere energy. She happily showed us a room from the hotel and let us look around. We were astounded by how big the room was! With its own fireplace, small kitchen area, big bathroom with a bath AND shower, a patio, good lighting, and lots of room to move around, we were immediately impressed. When we told Linda we wanted to stay at Hotel Pacific, she went out of her way to find a room away from the area that was getting renovated, so we wouldn't have to hear construction during the day. We couldn't be more pleased with the service, the room, and the whole experience! We loved it so much that we are looking to do our hotel room block here for our wedding! Big thanks to Linda, and we will definitely be coming back to Hotel Pacific!!

Very easy check in. Have stayed numerous times. Enjoy the King room with separate shower and a tub shower combination in the bathroom! Really enjoy the fireplace especially during cool evenings. Complimentary breakfast is very good in a nice large room! Anna was very pleasant and helpful, with her positive attitude, will certainly return again!
