Location is good! Although service for 5 Star should be as it is in protocol. I have asked to deliver tea bags which I wanted, they provide in the room very strange flavor which is not common, I have asked via phone to provide me normal English breakfast but I was refused that they don’t have it. I still think with such a price and star hotel should satisfy the customers with any need during the stay in the hotel.

Although it is a hotel, the room is very spacious and clean. The decoration is European style and has a fireplace heater. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet rooms. The shower room is very spacious and the water pressure is high. There is a balcony and a courtyard with many green plants outside the room. The environment is beautiful. I especially like that they also include breakfast, which is very rich! It's about a 5-minute walk to the beach and a large supermarket. It's definitely worth a family vacation!
Perched dramatically over the Monterey Bay, the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa combines elegant European architecture, sweeping coastal views and sophisticated style to create the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy the gentle sounds of the surf, the fresh scent of sea air and the sight of otters, seals and dolphins at play.

The range of activities and attractions nearby is nearly limitless. This should be the most satisfying hotel I stayed in during this trip. The facilities, environment, location and sea view of the room are all amazing. The hotel's breakfast is not a buffet, you have to order it yourself, which is very good. You can choose how much you want to spend. The breakfast is very delicious and the service is very thoughtful. It was a bit cold in the morning, so we sat on the terrace. The waiter turned on the big warm light for us. With the sea breeze and the sea view, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with our beloved family. I really hope time will stay at this beautiful moment.

The overall price/performance ratio is relatively low, the rooms are relatively old, and the scenery is really not good in the United States. The wind blowing in from the balcony is also a bit unpleasant, and you need to charge dozens of knives to the hotel, including taxes, parking fees, etc.

Very comfortable hotel conveniently located in downtown Monterey and short distance from 17 Mile Drive. Rooms are spacious and staff is very friendly. Room amenities are: individual sized coffee pot and mini fridge as well as standard hair dryer, toiletries and iron. Microwaves can be delivered to your room by request at no additional cost. The Marriott has a bar and serves breakfast (not included in room rate) and other meals. It is connected to the Monterey Convention Center so if you are attending a conference, this is the best place to be. There are a couple parking garages with hourly rates within a couple block walk, they do not have in and out privileges. Valet service takes about 10-15 minutes to get your car depending on time of day. Mornings were a little longer wait. Wifi is not free unless you are a Bonvoy Member, you can sign up on the spot. Would stay here again.

The Hilton Garden Inn Monterey offers a convenient, comfortable stay in the heart of this scenic California town. Guests enjoy an indoor pool, fitness center, and on-site dining, plus easy access to top attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium. While lacking some local charm, it provides reliable, well-priced accommodations for both leisure and business travelers.
but one of the reception woman(seems like manager) is not very polite.

We spent 3 nights here.. given we had kids under 12 with us, who were excited about using the pool, we upgraded to a room with direct pool access through our patio. The resort is luxurious and has a lot of open areas... doesnt feel cramped for space, especially being a golf course. Kids loved the free smores kit they got to use by the bonfire. The kids play area with connect4, table tennis, putting etc. was cool too. Ample parking space and you can easily get one spot next to the building your room is in.

Enjoyed every night here. Complimentary adult beverage at the bar first night stay of the hotel was nice. But the best part was knowing 24 hr beach access right in front of our room was the best decision I ever made. Views were great. Not too far from down town. Definitely would recommend.

Juliana and Leslie were helpful in setting up future reservation. Two other nice desk people helped during our stay, but didn’t get their names. Like that we get the room we request each time and it is roomy with a couch and close to parking area. Look forward to using some of amenities in the future…restaurant, new jazz club etc. Like the Covid protocols respected….took care of our own room, could ask desk for any additional needs etc. We do question why the clothes hanging area was taken away months ago and replaced with a coffee machine which could easily be kept on the desk area. No place to hang clothes. Like having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Location great to mall, beach, freeway, Carmel, downtown Monterey downtown area. Prices reasonable and love the wall heater!

Our vacation flights to Chicago were canceled due to weather conditions and we were unhappy. We decided to have a getaway to Monterey and Carmel. We were lucky to make a last minute booking by booking.com at Travelodge. The booking was easy, price was incredibly reasonable and service was excellent. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming, but also made accommodations for my physical disability. We enjoyed our trip and Will definitely go back.

GGuest UserThis hotel used to be amazing. In the past, I would have paid the premium cost for the service, location, and experience. Now, I just can't say that anymore. I have stayed at the Portola hotel a number of times and the last few times, it just hasn't been that great, yet they still charge the same premium price The hotel is in a great location, which is still a draw, but the experience has become average. I love going to Monterey and this hotel was a reason I would want to come back, but now I find myself looking elsewhere. Portola just doesn't meet the expectations they put forward for the premium price they charge. So if you get a good price on that harbor view room, I would say go for it. Note, you may end up with a partial view looking at the roof of a building across the way, with a partial view of the water. But I would stay here again if the price was right. But if prices are the same as some of the other waterfront hotels, I will likely book elsewhere.
GGuest UserLet's be honest - Monterey Bay is expensive. I want the most bang for my buck and I feel that I get it at Casa Munras. It is definitely my favorite hotel on the peninsula - and I have stayed at many of them, worked at many of them, and lived in all my favorite cities here. Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove - this hotel is my favorite one that I can also afford on the regular. I love the Spanish style décor. I absolutely love their beds and pillows - I sleep so good here, and the best part is the location. You can walk out of the hotel, down the street, and you're in downtown, walk a little further and you're on fisherman's wharf. Go up the street and you're at the mall. Go a little further up the street and you have the freeway right there to take you to Carmel or PG or wherever you want to go. However, there are a few negatives to this property: 1. The internet is not fast (especially depending on the building you stay in) and they do not give you the option to pay for upgraded internet. 2. You have to pay for parking - which I believe is $17/night, but I just factor that into the cost of the room when I book. 3. Not all rooms offer a mini fridge, you have to pay for an upgrade to get a room with a fridge. What's that about? All rooms should have this! Everywhere!
NNingThe hotel is located on a street in Monterey, and it is easy to see the navigation in the past. The parking lot is downstairs in the room. The hotel has a beautiful European style with a garden and a small dining room. The rooms are quite large with a fireplace. Breakfast is relatively simple, bread and fruit coffee granola.
JJIAHAOI have lived in one of the best motels and the room is very plentiful. The light in the room and the toilet are very bright, the shampoo conditioner has everything, and the charging port is enough. Praise
CConnector16821240191So this is one of those small Indian places where the owner has renovated an old nasty motel. I'm pretty sure all of the photos here are from before the remodel. The remodeling work is nothing spectacular, but it's a whole new color scheme and surfaces are clean and in very good shape. Unfortunately this place still has pretty small rooms. The parking lot is a little awkward and there are now outside areas at all to enjoy -- not even a park bench. The first time I stayed I was pleasantly suprised - really liked the brand-new bathroom finishes and fridge....especially for the price ! Second time I was really disappointed in a less-than-adequate bathroom cleaning job and maybe not the best bedding. So...I dunno...overall, they deserve way way more than the two stars they're showing here. I wouldn't take a date or family here, but for the low-budget traveler, it's ok for a short stay. Close walk to a 7-11 and a few other restaurants. NOT a close walk to beach or anything else. I'm gonna give this an extra star in order to off-set the out-dated and unfair previous reviews.
GGuest UserThe airport to the hotel should be the starting price, the Chinese-like driver actually received 25 knives, be careful of fellow villagers, lie to you without discussion. The hotel is a motel, it is clean, and the room assigned to me is not sunny. The waiter did not clean the next day, the room was not soundproof, the bed upstairs creaked, but the guests were more civilized and quiet. At this price, you can stay for two nights. Walk over to the den monte shopping center for fifteen minutes. No breakfast, no place to eat nearby, the hotel is a street.
沈沈The room was not included in the breakfast, the front desk was warm, and the house on the first floor was gone. The front desk volunteered to help people bring the suitcase to the second floor. The most convenient is less than 100 meters from the gas station.
JJINA typical American motel with a good location, just across the road is Macy's and some restaurants. There is also a drug store CVS, but unfortunately I did not buy a mask. There is a swimming pool and gym in the hotel, but the pool is small and slightly larger than the bathtub. The gym is also very small
AawaiterThere is no breakfast, the kitchen in the room is a highlight, but there are no vegetables for sale in the supermarket opposite, I suggest you bring it from San Francisco if you want to cook here.
