A very good more upscale hotel in Montevideo. it's close to many transport options and breakfast was included as well. The rooms were alright; but nothing that wasn't working. The staff were super welcoming and warm, always attentive and smiling, especially at the front desk!

The hotel opened in 1926, very special. The location is very good, Independence Square, the beach, just a few steps away. The breakfast is on the rooftop, very stylish, the fruits and juices are fresh and delicious😋

Unfriendly staff at reception, Spanish-speaking guests are given preferential treatment. We had to go to the airport at 7 a.m., breakfast doesn't start until 7 a.m. It was neither possible to get a breakfast package nor to be let in two minutes earlier so we could take something with us. The staff are absolutely not interested in guests leaving the hotel satisfied

I forgot to attach photos in the previous review, so I would like to add that the hotel is very good. The attitude of the front desk staff was average when I checked in, but they were quite enthusiastic when they greeted me every day afterwards.

The room was nice, but the breakfast was hard to describe. Chinese people probably can't get used to it. The front desk service was not good. They made the wrong room and their attitude was rather perfunctory. Thanks to Ctrip for coordinating and solving the problem.

We enjoyed our huge king size bedroom and fabulous service. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel.

It is a beautiful hotel in a great location with great and kind staff. Sadly, the property needs a big face lift: fresh coats of painting and general repairs throughout the property.

I like mattress covers on the bed and sheets that are fitted. No mattress covers allow for stains and other fluids in the mattress and the bottom sheet wasn't fitted so it came off the bed.

Do not stay here! I’m not one to do reviews usually and this is the first bad review i’ve ever left. We booked two nights here, when we arrived the room smelt so strongly of varnish we got headaches after only a few minutes. We decided to stay somewhere else for that night since they had no other rooms available and requested a refund for the missed night. Over two weeks later and we’re still yet to receive the refund even though the manager promised he would. In general, the lift doesn’t work properly and the property is very run-down. Stay away!
