Hotels near Chateau de la Mogere, Montpellier

It’s a heartwarming thing to choose a hôtel purely on the basis of location only to find that it’s really a bit of a gem. We had an eight night stay at the beautiful Domain de Verchant, set amongst its own vineyards and parkland, only a few kilometres outside historic Montpellier. The rooms were both charming and well appointed , the food in the two different restaurants was really very good and the spa/ pool areas are quite wonderful with first rate facilities. However, it is the professional and friendly service that sets this hotel apart . Under the General manager, Jean-Pascal Picolette, thé team show their dedication and pleasure in looking after their residents, whether it be serving a poolside sandwich or a 5 course fine dining meal at their superb restaurant Marcelle. I spent 2 nights alone in one of the studios offered and everything was perfect ! For a fifty-euro (low season - end of January), it is even better than what could be expected: innocent cleanliness, hyper comfortable litter (i had even difficulty to get out of my bed in the morning), Very satisfactory room, kitchen equipped (with dishwasher and hot!) and separated from the room by a door, spacious Bathroom with large mirror, facilities (switches, takes, head lamps, ...) are ergonomic, No discomforts level noise, hot coffee-the-chocolate willing in the DRC, very polite and courtesy staff, in short, nothing to reiterate.

The friends we went to from the airport were very convenient. It would be great if we took a taxi directly. Then the front desk service was very friendly. We stayed in so many hotels and felt that the price performance of the hotel was very high. Recommended

By far the best hostel I’ve stayed at in my trip across Europe. It was modern, clean and a really fun and environment. I was able to order a meal late at the restaurant downstairs which was great! The hostel dorms were also really nice and they also had privacy curtains which blocked out any light. The location is also super convenient as it is literally right next to the train station.

The location is really great. It's right near the station, and Montpellier is accessible by tram, so it's easily accessible. However, the small rooms can be frustrating. Breakfast was edible and okay. The accommodation is really pretty. The accommodation is trying to carry out a campaign to protect the earth, but the heater cannot be turned on strongly, there are restrictions on the use of hair dryers, and the water is not hot.

Communication with this hotel was good before arrival. We asked for a Superior double room on the first floor and this was provided for us. It was a large room with excellent air conditioning, comfortable large bed and pillows. Shower was excellent with hand rail for support. We were provided with two bottles of water on arrival, one bottle of water on the second day and nil bottles of water on the third day. Why? Toiletries that were used were nor replenished. Why? Tea bags that were used were not replenished. Why? The toilet area is separate to the bathroom area. You have to leave one room to go to another to wash your hands. The door to the toilet make a pretty awful creaking sound when opened and closed, disturbing my partners sleep at night. Housekeeping should be reporting these type of issues. The bathroom area has a glass wall. It does not give 100% privacy. When you switch on the light to wash your hands during the night, the whole bedroom lights up. The batteries for the remote control for the TV in our room were dead. Reception could not find any replacement until Daniel stepped in and gave us the ones from the reception remote. We found Daniel to be an excellent worker, tuned in to his customer needs. We were staying for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast offering never changed over the 3 mornings. It was pretty boring and we have had better. One staff member, a lady with bandana, took exception to me taking a tea spoon from a box on the counter, so I could stir my tea. I had used the one originally given to eat a yogurt. I felt like a school child. The same lady when cleaning off the breakfast tables would examine the cutlery to see if they had been used, if not she put them back on the table for the next person. Despite the above, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Reception staff were very pleasant. We liked the old world decor. The hotel is situated a few minutes from the train station.

This was a good hotel in a nice location in Montpellier. We had an early train the morning we left and the hotel is very close to the station, which was nice. The room was not very big, but most aren't in Europe! The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and had all the expected amenities. Close to the tram and other resources as well.

I really liked my experience at the Royal Hotel. The room was very beautiful, spacious and finely furnished. I found a bit difficult that there was no WiFi and the signal on my phone was so low that was impossible to load even social networks. For this reason, I worked from the lobby with my computer. It’s a nice and quiet space. I appreciated also the tea and cookies that were offered in the afternoon in the lobby. The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, restaurants and a supermarket.

The environmental score is low because-almost stolen before entering the hotel! Because self-driving cars have to park on the other side of the square (in fact, it’s only a 5-minute walk, but there is no elevator in the public parking lot, so you have to pick up the boxes from the underground by yourself), we have been out for more than ten days, two large boxes and two small boxes of luggage- Passing through the square should be too big a target, so unfortunately I was targeted-at the last moment when I entered the hotel door, the two female thieves went one after the other, and when I subconsciously turned back, the back hand was already touching my schoolbag...turning back When I checked in, I asked the front desk how the security was like this-he bluntly said that the place was very safe-the problem is that according to our observations over the next two days, it was a group of gypsies who usually occupies the intersection next to the hotel! Focus on tourists! Is it possible that the locals in the hotel can't not see? It didn't even explain anything that caught our attention! I regretted it for two nights-because of the accident that happened on the first day, we completely lost the idea of visiting the city-we drove out of the city
