The location of the hotel is very good, very close to McGill University. After checking out before 12:00, you can store your luggage at the front desk for free. There is a public underground parking lot behind the hotel, which costs 20 Canadian dollars per night.

The location is excellent, you can walk directly to Mount Royal. It is located in the city center, easy to access, and you can move around freely without a car. There are several restaurants nearby that are very good

The hotel is a bit old, but the service is good. Parking is not easy, but that's an issue in downtown Montreal.

The hotel is located close to city centre with easy access to a variety of popular neighbourhoods . The lobby area is quite small and has a lovely bar with comfortable seating. The rooms are spacious with large windows and a pretty good view. There is a pool on a separate level with limited seating and a view on the city, the back portion of it, mostly occupied by sun beds mostly overlooks a wall which isn't quite the best. The concierge and front desk stuff were very helpful. Overall a great stay!

The moment I entered the Hotel, I was greeted with smiles and Professionalism. It was hot day and through our verbal interaction, I was given a room upgrade. The Concierge...Veronica made my stay the most pleasant. She made sure I maneuvered around Montreal without any difficulty. She presented a warm disposition and truly enjoyed her job. Outstanding work!! The rooms were clean and each employee were helpful and available for any kind of assistance. I enjoyed my stay!! ...Get the Crab Cakes!! Yum!! Chaz

I didn't end up staying here. I had a reservation but needed to cancel due to unrest and safety concerns at the McGill university campus in Oct 2024. I called to cancel my reservation 4 days in advance and shared the safety reasons. They said that I was outside of the cancellation period even though it was 4 days before the reservation date (apparently cancellation dates vary??). A manager was supposed to call me back and never did. I called back a few days later and they said that due to hotel policy, they cannot refund my reservation. My colleague called the same day as I did (4 days in advance) and was able to get a refund. I just registered to be an Omni member but I will never stay here due to the poor customer service. I'm in Montreal at least 10x per year, the Marriott can have my money.

The restaurant service is very variable depending on the service staff. The ladies are good, but the men are terrible. The men like to stay in the kitchen and don't come out, so we can't tell them anything even if we want to ask for something. We never want to visit if they attend us next time.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. The price point is reasonable in comparison to other hotels on the same level. It got a lot of good reviews and I would say most were accurate. The reason for the three star rating is the following: Our room needed a major update. The decor was circa 1990, and it looked as tired. The heat didn’t work properly and it kept shutting off. There were very few outlets, and most were in use for the room fixtures. It was difficult to charge our devices. There were no modern charging outlets. There was no grab bar in the shower, which could be a major safety issue with older guests (fortunately it did not affect me, but still).

Rooms are large and comfortable. They have all the items you’d need, including a mini fridge. Staff were all polite and helpful. Conference facilities were great and the food was delicious. Location is close to McGill. Lots of restaurants within 10-15 walk and Eaton Centre is only a 5 minute walk away.

Positives: Location was good, room was clean, chrome cast worked, coffee and tea was in room, and robes were soft. Negatives: - bathroom door was hard to close (had to push it into the wall to close it). - no free water bottle in room. Water is Pennies on the dollar to a hotel with purchasing power and is a no brainer. If no water bottles at least have an environmental reason posted and note that tap water is safe to drink. - elevator buttons are dated. Button didn’t work on one side of the elevator for the floor we were on (6). - water pressure in tub/shower was great, but the drain was slow. Water egress needs to be equal to or exceed water ingress, or the water will accumulate in the bottom of the tub which is gross. - toilet paper roll is awkwardly located, so I may have pulled a muscle stretching for it.

Room 3103. Room is poorly soundproofed (near elevators or utility closet so this is bad) and curtains don't block out light from sun in the morning. Hallway is very dimly lit. Location is good and service is good but overpriced for what it is.

Poor service. I could not open the door and security had to open it by literally running into it to get it open. When I suggested this was a fire hazard, they simply shrugged their shoulders and walked away without saying a word. Service was poor in other areas as well. Will never stay here again.
