Beautiful place, great attentive staff, great food, every detail attended to. The Game drives and Guide were excellent. A wonderful experience.

We were fortunate to spend our honeymoon at the Outpost Lodge. This had been a dream of us since we got engaged. Besides the breath taking views from the rooms, the quality of service was outstanding. Book a massage whilst you have the most beautiful view of the Mopani and Baobab landscape. Be sure not to be on a diets as the food was out of this world!! ALL staff was well trained - from housekeeping, barista, waiters, massage therapists, management to guides. We had Keegan as our guide - his knowledge on birds is extraordinary. If you want to experience true tranquillity, Outpost is the place to be. This is not your average lodge like in the Southern regions. Beautiful views, birding , trees and nocturnal animals should be on your wish list for sightings.

Outpost was in every way beyond our expectations, the situation stunning, the concept intriguing, the staff delightful, and the accommodation and food just excellent.

My stay at the Outpost was exceptional! The staff gave us a warm welcome upon arrival, I instatntly felt at home as the trees gave us the breeze and calm we needed after a day of travel. I had the bushview and enjoyed 180 degree views of the outstretched landscape that was populated with Baobab trees. The sound of the animals living while I drifted off to sleep will stay with me forever. The food was divine! The staff was warm and generous with kindness. Life is sweet, easy at The Outpost and I will definitely be returning!

Game drives with Christa were phenomenal her knowledge and storytelling were excellent. The location, accommodation and views are spectacular. The food and staff were great. Thank you Dylan and Ashleigh for going the extra mile in making my stay unforgettable.

We stayed at The Outpost Lodge for 4 nights from 4 March 2024. The overall experience was excellent including service, food and accommodation. We knew that the area is not Big 5 country, but our game drives were all excellent, seeing varied spectacular scenery and game sightings. An unforgettable stay! Everything is perfect, whether it's the staff, the room, the meals, the game drives. Thank you very much for this completely crazy vacation. We recommend this accommodation if you want to live peacefully surrounded by nature, perfect for disconnecting and resting. The game drives offered are carried out by very professional and passionate guides, we have no regrets. We became children again!

Not for first timers. We last visited this far north in Kruger ＞25yrs ago. This time we went for the birding and were a bit unlucky as our guide was fairly new to the concession. Our fault - I'm sure we could have mentioned this when booking. It always seems a bit rude to ask for a different guide later. The sourveld area around the lodge is fairly quiet but further north and east the scenery and habitat is stunning. Also we were unaware that off-road driving was not allowed. The lodge and rooms are beautifully designed. No air-con at 45deg is challenging but we'd still suffer that for the completely open room design perched above the canopy. The camp staff felt as though they enjoyed sharing their part of the world with us. The food was varied, plenty choices and happily available in smaller portions!
