The experience was very bad. I booked the hotel early, but when I arrived at the local hotel, I was told that there was no reservation information. A large group of people were waiting at the front desk. It was very bad. The entire communication was back and forth between three parties. What’s even more outrageous is that one of the bookings has no room. I never thought that a platform as big as Ctrip would make this mistake. Beruwala is hot this season and mosquitoes bite in the evening. The final solution is also terrible. I have never dared to do so again. Booked an overseas hotel on Ctrip.

This is more a resort then a normal hotel. with good facilities .
Even though it is more then 20 years old it is still o'kay and is currently being updated and renovated.
Back when it first opened ,it was probably the best resort in all of Sri Lanka!!
Quiet location ,a bit out of town ,but easy to get a Tuk Tuk to get around.
it is about 2 hours by bus from Colombo ,or probably quicker by train ........ but not as much fun!
Staff where freindly and helpful if needed.

A Memorable Stay at Eden We had an unforgettable experience on 22nd November 2024, as we celebrated my husband’s birthday and our 6th wedding anniversary. The staff at Eden made it truly special—Tharanga from Housekeeping, Prasad from F&B, and Dinithi from Front Office went above and beyond to fulfill my wishes. Everything was arranged so beautifully, exceeding all expectations. The homely atmosphere and the impeccable service inspired me to plan another visit with my family. I highly recommend Eden for anyone seeking a warm and personalized stay.

The guset realation officer Mina was very helpful to change our room and always coming around to see and talk to us. The housekeeping team Aloka, Chandana and Ghositha were very good and the rooms were spotless. The beach area team were always helpful and polite . Thanks to Dinukar and Rohana .thank you to all the resturant staff anf the management team . The attention to detail and friendliness of the staff made our stay even more enjoyable.

We zijn hier één nacht verbleven, omdat we de volgende dag naar het vliegveld moesten. Het is een lekker hotel met een groot zwembad en een bar in het zwembad! Heerlijk. Het ligt ook aan het strand waardoor je makkelijk de oceaan in kan. Er zijn genoeg ligbedden met handdoeken beschikbaar.

Stayed here for 4 nights half board with my dad after traveling around Sri Lanka. Occidental Eden is the perfect place to rest and relax. The staff go above and beyond to assist and can even arrange tours. Mina and Frank on the front desk take great care of the guests and ensured we are felt very welcome upon entering the hotel. Prasand and the food manager Suresh made sure breakfast and dinner was smoothly running and took time to get to know us. There is a wide variety of options available to all including freshly made hoppers....we loved the milk ones! Housekeeping was very well managed by Lasantha's team who made sure our rooms were cleaned whilst we relaxed poolside. Lastly, a shout out to the members of the sports bar, where we could enjoy some drinks and watch the cricket. Camila and Sanka were very friendly and acknowledged our usual drinks swiftly. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the not too distant future.
