The experience was very bad. I booked the hotel early, but when I arrived at the local hotel, I was told that there was no reservation information. A large group of people were waiting at the front desk. It was very bad. The entire communication was back and forth between three parties. What’s even more outrageous is that one of the bookings has no room. I never thought that a platform as big as Ctrip would make this mistake. Beruwala is hot this season and mosquitoes bite in the evening. The final solution is also terrible. I have never dared to do so again. Booked an overseas hotel on Ctrip.

This is more a resort then a normal hotel. with good facilities .
Even though it is more then 20 years old it is still o'kay and is currently being updated and renovated.
Back when it first opened ,it was probably the best resort in all of Sri Lanka!!
Quiet location ,a bit out of town ,but easy to get a Tuk Tuk to get around.
it is about 2 hours by bus from Colombo ,or probably quicker by train ........ but not as much fun!
Staff where freindly and helpful if needed.

Occidental Eden is one of the best hotel in this country..... specially meal breakfast lunch dinner buffet was amazing and delicious .... Staff treatment was superb quality. Thashmila and Tanya , we want to give special thanks 🙏. We will definitely come again.

Occidental Eden is a fine place to relax in a beutiful sea viewed garden with a nice relaxing breeze.i Will Miss this amazing place , where there have tasty food, drinks and the staff here is so friendly. Specially tanya and thashmila amazing service with pleasant smile on their face. Good that i chosed this place. I would recommend this hotel.

Хороший, чистый отель. Приветливые, улыбающиеся люди. Прекрасное питание. Красивый пляж, на море волны. На территории бегают бурундуки, ящерицы, игуаны. Иногда шел дождь 10-15 минут, но все равно тепло. Тихо, полный релакс. Но вечером скучно, делать нечего, только спать.

Lovely hotel with great views. When we arrived we had an issue with the rook which was quickly resolved. The staff are brilliant and are always available to assist. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, the restaurant had plenty of choice and if you go out onto beach turn left there is the Maharaja which serve food and drink. Never had any issue getting a sunbed and towels are provided. Just to thank you Suresh for his help and would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.
