The experience was very bad. I booked the hotel early, but when I arrived at the local hotel, I was told that there was no reservation information. A large group of people were waiting at the front desk. It was very bad. The entire communication was back and forth between three parties. What’s even more outrageous is that one of the bookings has no room. I never thought that a platform as big as Ctrip would make this mistake. Beruwala is hot this season and mosquitoes bite in the evening. The final solution is also terrible. I have never dared to do so again. Booked an overseas hotel on Ctrip.

This is more a resort then a normal hotel. with good facilities .
Even though it is more then 20 years old it is still o'kay and is currently being updated and renovated.
Back when it first opened ,it was probably the best resort in all of Sri Lanka!!
Quiet location ,a bit out of town ,but easy to get a Tuk Tuk to get around.
it is about 2 hours by bus from Colombo ,or probably quicker by train ........ but not as much fun!
Staff where freindly and helpful if needed.

Wunderbare Lage ich konnte nichts daran aussetzen. Die Reservierung war ausgezeichnet durch Mrs. Dinithi Perera Reservation Manager.Restaurant Management Mr.Prasad und Service Mr.Nuwan und Pool Bar Mr.Ruvin gibt es nur Positives zu berichten. Bei Anfragen jeglicher Art bei Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Suresh Kannah wurde alles positiv erledigt. Sehr ausgewählte Speisen jeglicher Art.Room service von Mr.Lasanta und Mr.Purnaka .ich konnte mit jedem Wunsch zu ihnen kommen es wurde jeder erfüllt.

The seafood chef “UPEKSHA- kitchen” was awesome! Food was delicious 😋 Perfectly cooked, super well seasoned and tasted like heaven. Since I'm allergic to onions and peppers, he made me a completely different dish. It was the best. I definitely recommend it.

Wir waren 4 Nächte im Occidental Eden Hotel und haben dort auch am Strand unsere Goldene Hochzeit gefeiert. Das Hotel hat eine wunderbare Feier für uns am Strand arrangiert, besonders der Hotelmanager Prasath (bin nicht sicher, dass der Name richtig geschrieben ist) hat für uns ein wunderbares und unvergessliche Ambiente und damit tolle Erinnerungen geschaffen. The hotel is perfectly located on the beach, with a great pool and some decent restaurants. My only qualm was the severe limitation of vegetarian food available. The staff is very helpful and kind, shoutout to Amila at the front desk! Stayed for 31st amd was lot of fun

Me and my wife went for 2 nights full board on December. Love their lobby design, food, friendly staff and specially the smell of room fragrance. We had a couple of chats with few staff members during our stay and all of them were nice to us, we met a newly joined waitress with less than one week of experience, but her hospitality was so nice. Even they had so many guests during our stay they were manage the restaurant very well and we enjoyed the food very well. Also, I would love to add few words of their rooms. Nice design, well cleaned, safe and we had a nice view. This gives us a feeling to visit their other hotel in Dambulla and we hope to visit that one soon.
